I have always since the opening of THIS particular location at Coquitlam Town Centre Socialhouse been very appreciative and supportive of the extra effort of management, bar staff, the excellent individual servers and of course the heart of the restaurant, the kitchen in which I have believed that the cooks actually more like chefs in their quest to exceed expectations above and beyond what is required by their basic culinary skillsets. As of Tuesday, February 8, 2022, I am updating my aforesaid review. I actually live within one block of the Socialhouse and I can say that this establishment has continued to be consistent even through the challenging times of the last two years but in particular the turn over of the management, staff and kitchen personnel which continues to offer a high level of customer service that reflects the depth of commitment by the franchise owner. As of July 10, 2022, I am updating my beforesaid review, and I feel as a regular customer over the past almost ten years and the post COVID-19 world is that I have observed that so much has changed with this establishment as well as other chain establishments is the increase in prices at the expense of lesser portions and quite frankly the maybe not the conscious decline in personal service and customer appreciation at the hands of corporate practices of reducing labour costs at the cost of the customer as a means of making up the losses of the past two years of the pandemic. The fact is that the customers especially those that have been loyal and supportive on a regular basis have been exploited by those establishments by spending their dollars through the lean times to provide their continued existence without any appreciation and almost blind expectancy without any realization of providing a future for those establishments. What I have observed is this desire to pursue personal goals without even considering that of the individuals that have been there for your interests. I almost see this in terms of been selfish without any consideration of the fellow person. We exist on the coattails of people outside our own realm. That is the nature of our society is that we are defined by the individual lives that we touch and not by our personal agendas. I really do question the motivations that drive customer services these days that something has definitely gone amiss. I challenge anyone to ignore this observation and maybe I should disappear like a dinosaur but I do remember different days were a reality in the past and that we as human beings took pride in not just ourselves but our...
Read moreOver all I love browns . But the Coquitlam location was pretty bad . The waitress was super nice and on top of things but the food I ordered was discusting . I have ordered this same thing at other locations and it's soooo good . But at the Coquitlam location I found it flavourless , put together like somthing u would get at mcdonalds only difference ur paying 15.95 for this burger . I ate half and just left it there didn't even take it home . The blonde manager was very rude when I told her it was discusting . And I'm over all upset considering I live right above this browns and I don't feel like going back I'll drive somewhere else if I want browns
Update , I was went there one day after work , I didn't even go up to my place yet , I had a burger and water, my card wasn't working when it came to pay , she profiled me so bad, and demanded my cell phone, over a 20$ meal , I said no I need this for work , so she took my divers license , mean while I live in the high rise up stairs . But I'm native and she thought the worst of me , I came back the next day with cash and I was expecting an apology but I didn't get one, it was the way she treated me , it seemed like she thought she was better because she was blond and white .. she was very racist 🙄 thing is I went there all the time but the time I go there and wasn't dressed up or didn't have any makeup on and in work clothes , and I wasn't the only person in work clothes there .....
Read moreThis is the first time I've been here where the service was not up to your usual standard. Our server Brendan was nice enough but he didn't listen to my drink order even after I told him what was in it. He said he got it but he did not. Our drinks sat at the bar for a long time and he never brought them. A nice lady ended up bringing them to the table and I asked the bartender about the mistake with my drink and she was happy to make the right one and understood what I wanted and brought it over. Our food came seconds after our drinks and our server again wasn't the one to bring them but another lady did. Brendan didn't come to ask us how things were or refill my sons drink. He came when we were almost finished. Again, when we were finished Brendan passed us by and another lady cleared our table. Brendan finally returned and I asked for the check. The food was amazing and the people who did help us were outstanding, but as someone who worked in restaurants, I feel that Brendan could use some extra support in understanding a customers needs and...
