Just had a TERRIBLE experience here. I spent $90 buying chocolate. They have a gummy bar so I tried one gummy the size of my nail. The woman behind the counter starts yelling « you’re not allowed to taste the gummies.» Mind you, if I had walked in off the street I get it but you have $90 worth of merchandise I am about to purchase and you’re yelling at me to not taste a one penny gummy???? In a chocolate shop where EVERYONE offers free chocolate and tastes when you are buying a bunch of stuff? And the owners claim of « health » regulation is fake because first of all, there are tongs for use, and secondly the attendant said nothing about health. She claimed that it’s because it’s a small business and they CAN’T AFFORD SAMPLES ! I told her to check herself and not to shame customers and she repeated that they’re a small business so no samples. A small business in which I just spent 90$ and you yell at me for a one cent gummy that I was trying to buy???? If you really wanted to tell me not to cost you one penny, or if this had anything to do with health, the way to do that is to discreetly mention it to me, not yell it across the store and then say, « we say the same thing to all the children. » As though I’m a naughty child caught stealing. Disgusting behavior. Truly disgusting and...
Read moreI went here with my kids today, they were excited and picked two packs of candy chocolates and I payed $49.9. We were rushed to leave so I didn’t really check, however later I found one of the candy bag with a tag only shows the price as $7.49, so that means the lady there charged me about $35 for the bear jar, which I remember I saw a similar one at the store with the price only like $15.9! I won’t say the lady was cheating cause I didn’t check, however I will definitely let everyone I know who want buy things from here be careful!!
PS: we didn’t request anything special. what the kids did just grabbed the candies from the counter. and no one explained the prices difference or helped on anything . poor...
Read moreTheir chocolate bars are the best. The favourite among the four of us was the 66% dark chocolate with salt crystals on top. The jar of coco powder has a full 10/5 star review. Absolutely a must to go see and try. They have an amazing assortment of candies as well. We were there strictly to get a fix of delicious chocolate. The shop is so sweet and perfectly situated in a quiet street off of Saint Paul St West in the heart of Old Quebec. I might have to drive the 2 hours from Ottawa to get more of the coco powder. I loved how helpful the staff, a kind gentleman, was with...
