Noël Éternel — Local services in Montreal

came into the store wanting to buy ornament gifts for family and friends. I asked my friend to take pictures of me in the store as it was beautiful. 5 minutes later got yelled at by a staff member . She said “ that’s enough pictures, this is not a place for photoshoot” then continued to looked at my phone and said “see u got enough pictures so stop it now”, to clarify i took about 5-6 pictures total. I was in a complete shock, as there were no signages about taking pictures of yourself in the store or limit of how many pictures u can take. I don’t want to play into race but there were also other clients walking around taking pictures yet i’m the only one getting yelled at?(im asian and she’s white ). I still ended up buying one ornament for myself , but as i walked to the cashier i see her staring at me and whispering things to her colleague, laughing among themselves. the guy at the cashier gave me the dirtiest look. The staff at Noël Éternel were beyond friendly and accommodating. I accidentally started speaking Swedish, and they handled it with grace, making me feel right at home. Their warmth and helpfulness added to the overall fantastic experience.

I purchased a gorgeous Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal ornament. It is painted on both sides, one side for the interior of the cathedral and the other for the exterior.

The ornament is quite large and I found the perfect spot to hang it on my mantle.

I bought one for myself and another as a gift because my friend is as crazy as I am about Christmas.

There are unique pricey items and other less expensive ones. I found some cute Saint Nick ornaments and hope that they will be there upon my return.

The store has a lot to look at yet I find it calming. Christmas time seems to bring a certain relaxing joyful spirit over me that I am grateful that I can now enjoy it year round.

I stopped in here my last visit to Montréal and can hardly wait to return. This is among one of my favourite stops while visiting...
