today i went to the doctors they said i had a bad sprained ankle. i go to the stags head with ten of my friends. its kinda dead. the bathrooms are under maintenance so when my friend went they had to âlet her in.â several empty booths and one of the long tables are empty. we sit for at least twenty minutes. we get two rounds and laugh with the staff as they pass us. there was a drink that was mostly melted ice that sat in the corner of the table. an older couple comes up and says that we are sat at their table. sheâs immediately a little aggressive and starts separating the two tables. mind you all my friends are sitting on every chair and she shows up out of nowhere and drinks are knocking about. she says shes friends with the boss and they sit here on fridays. i said fine get the boss because i have done nothing wrong, this is the only spot ten people can sit, and this couple can sit anywhere else??? what do you mean its âyour tableâ so yeah believe it or not the boss GENUINELY agreed it was their spot. i asked where we could all sit and i mentioned my foot and she did not care, they acted like it was some cute loyalty to regulars thing but iâm sorry thats already just bad business. i wouldnât of left a review if it didnât get more sinister. so when the boss told us to move i was sitting in the middle of the booth, my friends on either side were not leaving fast enough and i was just so embarrassed and frustrated i wanted to leave faster and squeezed through the space the unhinged woman created between the two tables. the corner drink got knocked over at some point from either her moving the tables or me squeezing through. i didnât notice it til i felt wet on my jacket and looked back and saw it had been spilled. if it was my fault, sorry. i sit on a random chair and everyone else stands squeezes around a booth instead. my friends and i give even more business to these people (i regret). my friend who strangely enough was let in to the bathroom by the same woman manager while this was happening went to order a drink, they said she wasnât being served til she said who spilt the drink. she said she genuinely had no idea because she and her partner werenât around which this manager knows? she said you better find out? my friend pointed out that all the white people in the group kept ordering drinks after we were forced to move and its racist that they are being singled out if they know they werenât even there???! then the woman KICKED OUT MY FRIEND?!? WHO THIS WOMAN LET INTO THE BATHROOM SO SHE KNOWS SHE WASNâT THERE????? we literally got a call from her she was kicked out??? after we got kicked out of seats for no reason? still kept it cool with the regulars (didnât continue any contact at all) and an empty deserted drink spilt at some point and they use it as a crazy backwards excuse to single out my friend? if they would have came up to us and asked i would have explained but that unhinged woman wasnât kidding she has the management in her pocket. i usually love the stags head, in all its oddness. i cheer for karaoke. i tip really well. i shed a tear when that beautiful older woman sings âkilling me softly with his songâ ahaha. iâm just seriously so confused by tonight. what a major major miss. i literally have never ever left a bad review anywhere before now. :( and i could maybe see some backwards love for your older regulars who you see every friday, i know i donât look like i canât stand rn. i was willing, even though i knew that situation was wrong, to keep loving the stags head, because who cares? but every step of this was handled so poorly. my friend was kicked out for calling out obvious discrimination? so yeah, all ten of us left and had an amazing night in. i regret that it took us so long to realize we should not of been spending money there. which sucks because the security there and most of the regulars are the best. i love the dj that does karaoke and again i used to love this place. but now i canât...

I didn't check any reviews before going, just decided to head out on Tuesday night from the hotel and look for a nearby place to eat. The Pub sign said"fine pub fare"..ok...I'll give it a shot. I didn't expect to see such a big menu...lots of variety. I certainly didn't expect chicken fettacini alfredo..but it was there so I took a gamble on it. Wow.....I've had alfredo at Italian restaurants and this dish at this pub puts some of them to shame. Excellent pasta perfectly cooked, more chicken than I've ever seen in this dish at restaurants that charge a lot more. Presentation was excellent as was portions. The garlic bread served with the dish in triangles was a nice touch and sprinklings of parmesan along the side of the plate was nice as well. Creamy sauce was the right consistency that didn't gum up the noodles at all. This along with two draught beers was under $40!! Super service with just the right amount of table visits...server actually gave a little courtsey when I paid the bill. Highly recommend if you like great tasting food, decent pricing, good service and no frills as there's not really much ambiance to the place...but I wasn't there for that and I will visit again next time I'm here as I hope my experience wasn't...
Read moreI was blessed by great service, even though "i" accidentally spilled a drink! At one point, the help actually removed my empty glass from the table after I was done quite politely. It was busy for staff New Year, but we all had gentle fun, with new faces as great stranger company, and reasonable bouncers, professional, courteous, safe. The karaoke was willing to mold to your likes, treating the line up fair, keeping the vibe for everyone, with an awesome countdown. Young and Old mix elequently to the music, pool table, and multiple angled T.V.'s with multiple thing's on. Despite my embarassing facade of dropping pop, I wasn't humiliated further because of good judgment. Less a Star for false advertising though, said open for three hours, and wasn't. Booking space to open, probably will fill one third the customers. Bar hopping for a single beer, lead to problems with another bar. Lesson, don't drink?...
