I had never heard of Family Wok, until I got called to come down to my grandpa's and have Chinese food which is my favourite. His neighbour had ordered a ton of it from this new place that delivered via UberEats. We don't live close-by.
The food was really good, and I ate a lot. I've had all kinds of Chinese food, and this was some of the best.
We usually order from Golden Pine now, and have for several years. We drive to pick it up. Before that, it was Win Yeung Garden. Years ago, it was Tang Dynasty which I miss.
We ordered Family Wok again for a big family friends dinner. Everyone loved it.
I've ordered it once to our house, and wish I had just before Christmas. Instead, I cheaped out and got Hong Kong House. Well, never again!
Last night, we had a family dinner. My intent was to order from Golden Pine, but I think they were closed. Anyway, I ended up ordering Family Wok on UberEats.
We got the dinner for 6, plus a spicy beef dish. One I'd had before, and warned everyone about. Most don't love spice, or cannot eat it, but I dislike shrimp. I admittedly have a love/dislike relationship with this spicy beef dish because, while it's really good, it burns your tongue for a while and can make it hard to taste other dishes.
There were lots of comments about how surprisingly good the food was, how it's better than Golden Pine and more. I'm torn between the two, but like having options.
Family Wok nailed it again. I just wish they wouldn't have put shrimp in things like the rice or one other dish.
I spent $135.34, which included a $16 driver tip.
To add onto this: My friend loves their hot and sour soup, but says it's pretty hot too!

Pros Presentation: 8/10 Size/Portion:8/10 Cost Industry Standard.
Cons I spent 200 bucks plus to have food delivered and it has the be the worst food I have ever eaten from an Asian Restaurant. You should be ashamed to even call yourself that with the food I got today.
I am not doing this because I want my money back I am doing this to save an unsuspecting family or person buying large quantities for dinner or an event.
The rice had no taste it was like eating freshly boiled rice with a couple of shrimps thrown in.
The chicken balls were on a diet.
The chicken wings were like rubber and super oily.
The beef/blackbean this was a 8/10
The Shanghi Noodles was so greasy and had no flavour how do you do that to the noodles? Noodles for crying out loud.
Please do not do this to another family. I would give you no stars but had to for the review.

I ordered Uber eats so I cannot comment on the atmosphere. I called the restaurant and left a message and they didn’t call me back before they closed so not the greatest service experience when you’re already disappointed with the food quality. The chicken fried rice I actually thought was just vegetable fried rice because it took dishing it out onto two or three plates to find minuscule piece of chicken. The beef and broccoli was very mid and the spring rolls were soft saturated with oil and basically inedible so I just threw them out after one bite. The chicken balls were good, so that was something, although also extremely greasy so I had to degrease each chicken ball before eating.
