Walked in with good energy, being polite and respectful — just wanted a small coffee and asked a simple question about the protein and calories in one of the food items. The employee at the counter was kind, no issue there.
Then I guess the owner steps in, and out of nowhere starts hitting me with attitude, like I asked him to write me a nutrition thesis. Bro literally goes, “You want protein? Get the protein shake.”
Seriously? That’s how you talk to customers who are just trying to make informed choices?
I wasn’t rude. I wasn’t difficult. I wasn’t “holding up the line.” I was just asking a normal, health-conscious question that most good cafés would be happy to answer.
If that’s how this place handles simple inquiries, I’ll gladly go elsewhere. Respect goes both ways — and clearly, the service stops the second you speak to the guy who...
Read moreFood was pretty good and they offer metal cutlery for those eating at the cafe, but provide plastic containers for those taking their food to go. Service could use work though - I waited at the cash for too long without being served/greeted/acknowledged, despite the two associates standing at the kitchen counter having a conversation and one of them making eye contact with me repeatedly. When I was finally acknowledged, they both decided to assist me and the person immediately behind me simultaneously. Our orders were ready at the same time, but the person behind me ended up paying before me because apparently line order does not apply at this establishment.
In summary, food was pretty good, but service was lacking. Will probably go to Planet Coffee around the corner instead, where I have never been ignored nor forced to give up my...
Read moreI went to this cafe on Friday October 9 for a takeout on a latte and I was disappointed. I ordered a mocha with soy extra hot and not only was I overcharged, I was given such attitude about the way I wanted my milk steamed. cappuccino. shouldn't since it isn't like dairy milk). already paid extra for it?? I paid $8.30 for a medium size and I'm wondering why it was so much for such a mid drink even with a milk sub. There's no menu board saying how much you had to pay to substitute it, but come on that's ridiculous. Three dollars for soy?? The latte tasted really chalky and bland, and it wasn't even hot.the barista turned the steamer off when he heard it making a screeching noise (which happens when you aren't steaming the milk right and you need to adjust the steaming wand-easy fix). I'll never...
