This is sideline of the Michelin Star restaurant Lei. The food itself is above but the service is of sub standard. The waitresses are mainly Dai Ma, new immigrants from China and there is nothing wrong with it. I am well aware that there's a shortage of labour in the service industry here, in particular restaurants. But I am sure the staff are briefed (never-mind proper training). Staff are openly talked to each other in a loud voice, food were served at least 15 to 20 mins at 1700 afternoon tea, practically less than 10% tables were seated. Atmosphere: However nice the atmosphere of the restaurant is, it wasn't felt when the piece of lukewarm dim sum was in the mouth, the hungry sensation was felt in the stomach, and the outrageous bill was presented in front.
Horrible experience as...
