I did the best of Provence afternoon tour which lasts around 6.5 hours (21st June). The tour included entrance to the Pont Du Gard and you stop at 2 villages - Les Baux-de-Provence and Rousillon. The tour description mentions Gordes but it should be noted that this is a photo stop only (totally worth the stop as the view is stunning). There was also a bonus photo stop at a lavender field (I missed out on a lavender field excursion because it was fully booked, so I was happy with this unexpected stop). I felt the time allocated for each stop was about right as each destination isn't very large. Its enough time to take photos, grab an ice-cream and use the loo.
The group was a good size as well, around 8 people (including myself) and we all had a bit of a chat with each other which was really nice.
All in all I felt yes at first glance the tour does seem pricey but I found it to be worth the money and was totally glad I booked it as something to do on my full last day in Avignon. Usually day excursions can be a bit hit and miss but I thoroughly enjoyed myself on this tour. You certainly do get a little taste...
Read moreWhat a wonderful full day bike ride traveling from Avignon to Luberon and then biking approximately 25 miles through many villages in the Luberon region.
My wife and I were picked up by Jeremy in Avignon...little did we know that we would be the only folks on our bike tour! Jeremy was absolutely fantastic! Such a nice gentleman, and so knowledgeable about the Burgundy region, wine as well as biking. We rented an electric bike and at no time were we concerned with cars or traffic. In fact, there was really only one short road that cars drove past us. All other roads were so private and went through small villages as well as vineyards in hills and valleys.
We had a great lunch with Jeremy half way through, and he took numerous pictures of all of the beautiful sights we road by. We had a great wine tour and tasting as well at a local winery.
I would absolutely recommend the "Full day e-bike tour in the Luberon region from Avignon" tour for anyone who wants to see and learn about the Burgundy...
Read moreThis tour was perfect for people on cruises who arrive at the port of Marseille, France. I took the tour to Aix-en-Provence and Cassis, and it was an utterly delightful day! I enjoyed every minute of it, and our guide was truly wonderful. She met us right as we left the ship area, and she got us back with hours to spare before sailing. I learned so much about the history of both areas, and now I want to go back. Aix is the cutest little town, and it is so fun wandering old town and exploring all of the narrow alley ways. Cassis was gorgeous, and I loved the boat ride we took to see the Calanques. Breathtaking! I am so glad I booked with a local company instead of Viator. They are phenomenal. I accidently left my bag of souvenirs in the van at the end of the day, and they worked with me and went through a lot of hassle to get my things shipped back to me in the USA. I appreciated how they went...
