The location is great and near the main area to walk around, eat, shop etc. The room itself was on the 3rd floor and tight for 4 people. It was VERY HOT! Even with the windows open we were miserable. The breakfast was included and ok (skip the eggs). I did like that they provided games to play in the salon which we did twice and a nice break in the day. It's noted on the site but know there is no elevator. We did use the sauna which is nice but plan ahead because it takes 30 mins to heat up. Also, I added a celebration package which included balloons, macaroons and prosecco. It was overall nice to add but we received a chocolate cake instead of macaroons and the cake was dry so we only ate a quarter of it. The ice for our prosecco melted to it wasn't very cold when we checked in. I would say if you're on a budget and don't mind the heat (during summer) this place was fine. Read moreRecently opened and of an excellent standard, with real style. Ours was a small twin room, but still stylist and with a walk-in shower/wet room - the shower had excellent pressure, the beds were comfy and with quality linen and pillows.
The large lounge area is comfy, with a real fire most afternoons and doors out to the decking with the large hot tub (there’s also a sauna and treatment room in the basement.
There’s a boot room with heated boot pegs, brackets for your skis etc.
Breakfast was a cold/continental buffet, with a selection of cereals, yogurts, breads, pastries, cheese and ham... we always ate well!
All the staff were helpful, with a special mention for Patrizia.
Excellent location, just 50m from the main pedestrian street and it’s wide selection of shops, restaurants and bars. We wouldn’t hesitate to...
Read moreThe hotel is in a bit of a funky location ..... almost looks like you're going into an alley. But, there were a number of similar sized hotels down that tiny street, including its affiliate (Hotel Faucigny), which is where you actually check in. The room was great. The only strange thing was that you had to actively lock the room when you left the room AND when you returned back inside (assuming you didn't want someone to simply be able to walk in on you when you were in room). Breakfast was in the Faucigny and was first class all the way. Parking for 24 hours was about 20Euro at Parking - St Michel within a 2 minute walk. Given the small size of Chamonix, you can walk anywhere in 10-15 minutes. Multiple dinner options are available within 5 min of the hotel. All in all,...
