Sport 2000 Hire Des Planards — Local services in Bonneville

Hello! We were renting equipment at this rental service because of its proximity to the ski slopes. Staff members are very busy because of the number of clients but do their best to help everyone as quickly as possible. The owner (Chris) was very polite and flexible. We rented equipment for 5 persons (3 adults and 2 kids) for half of the day (during the first day) just to understand if we will manage this as it was first time for almost all of us. After we took some training with the instructor we agreed to prolong renting of equipment for the next few days and the price was recalculated. Huge thanks to Chris who was very kind and allowed us to keep the equipment for longer during our last day of stay (rental service was closing at 6pm and during Wednesdays the ski slopes are opened till 8pm) and bring it back the early next day. This allowed us to have more fun. We definitely recommend this rental service for those who come with kids without their own equipment. It is very convenient as you can leave all your equipment at the same place in the locker and not to carry it with you to your residence (hotel). We wish all the best to Chris and his Team! We were very happy with the service at Sport 2000 Planards and would strongly recommend them for ski hire in Chamonix. I don’t really understand the previous review as we found the staff to be very calm, friendly and helpful. They work efficiently at a very busy time (we were there around the New Year). We were told to arrive 1.5 hours early with a family because you need to get fully fitted and then get your ski pass (which can have big queues and leading to time pressure). Additionally Chris kindly refunded the balance of one of our 4 ski hires when one of the kids got sick and couldn’t ski any longer. And another big plus on top of the excellent service is that you can store your skis there which is useful for Planards AND for Brevent because the bus goes from Planards to Brevent return. Unfortunately the worst service ever is provided by the team of this rental place. We had to wait for about an hour to be served having small kids and in the end we were simply kicked out of the shop!!! The team is arrogant and non- friendly that makes the entire experience in Chamonix stressfully terrible. I assume there is no proper management behind these guys working in the store and we would never ever recommend this place to anyone in the world. P.S a note to general manager if he reads this- hire more emoloyees for high seasons and train your emoloyees to be polite...
