My husband (who is a platinum member in Accor) and I booked a privilege room in this VERY POOR hotel for 4 nights in mercure chamonix center.. it was very very very baaadd !!!!! We just completed 3 nights and checked out we didnt stay our fourth night !

STAFF: We cane very late night and maureen from the front desk was very kind, super friendly and helpful But the rest staff were Very bad and gave a poor service we ever experienced in all Accor hotels !!! The rest staff were NOT helping, NOT professional and definitely NOT friendly.

When my husband asked the Supervisor about his name he said (i dont have name) such a unprofessional and the manager she was a woman wearing glasses also she was not talking in an appropriate way with us .. at last when we wanted to check out after the third night also the girl in front desk she was not professional. I have the names of the staff now in the picture

Restaurant staff were unskilled !!!!!!!!!!!!

ROOMS: The privilege room, allegedly the “best” they have has a horrible layout, horrible lighting, very low ceiling.

BALCONY : As first they gave us the privilege room in ground floor the balcony has no view at all only a bush. Then when we changed the room to a third floor privilege room the balcony was USELESS as no chairs, no lighting, and construction as a view

BREAKFAST: Food and layout not suitable for any star hotel !!! Although we took the room with breakfast we only had takeaway coffee in paper cups. As seen in the picture the welcoming drink for members we didn’t use too !!

The only reason to come to this hotel is if you want to RUIN YOUR VACATION !!!

Zero star for this...

I visited Chamonix in early December with my girlfriend and loved it so much that I decided to return with my family a month later. Unfortunately, the hotel where I previously stayed, "La Folie Douche," was fully booked, so I booked a different hotel. When I booked online, the website advertised two double beds and two single beds. However, when we arrived in the room, there were only two beds total. We went to the front desk to ask about the room situation, but the staff insulted and blamed us for their mistake. Our booking clearly indicated "2 x Single bed(s), 2 x Double bed(s)." The manager explained that they meant two people on the double bed and two people on the single bed, even though that was not how it was worded on the website. She still blamed us for booking the wrong room. When we asked for another room, she said the best she could do was offer us an additional room at a 10% discount, which was laughable. Moreover, the rooms were not the same as those shown on their website. When we asked about breakfast, one employee told us it was included, while another employee said it was not. We also requested a late checkout, but the best they could do was an hour later than the standard checkout. Lastly, the hotel's wifi was very slow and spotty. If you are planning on using a laptop for work, do not rely on this hotel's wifi as it constantly cuts out for several minutes at a time. Overall, the customer service at this hotel was terrible, and the room quality was nothing special. I do not recommend booking this hotel, as there are many better options in the town, some of which even have a...

We asking and confirm twice room at spa building, and of course when we came for 1 day they give us room at 1 floor at another building, and we need to move next day And next day we came after skiing, they told us thats room is ready, and when we come, we saw absolutely dirty room with garbage bags on the tables, plates with spoiled fruits. We had suite room, but its looking very strange, with three-pass between rooms and 2 doors. No air conditions thats why u need to open terrace door, because windows not opened for ventilations mode, floors at toilet and bathroom are very cold. There is nowhere to put clothes, no closed boxes, just shelves Second day our safebox got broken. Water at both jacuzzi are cold, water at pool super cold les than 25dg! Very cold in spa zone. Corners in jacuzzi is very sharp, nobody build like this Breakfast was awful, omelet impossible to eat, crapes was cold everyday, there r no porridge, we asking to order something but waiter told us, thats impossible, because they so busy! And after just for my small son they prepare omelette, but quality was 🤮 Just 2 bath robes and towels in room for 3 people, no bathrobes for kids, next day they fixed it, but bathrobes still for adult Eco water its strange strategy, because for drink u need all time going to 1floor. Maybe we r at desert🤷🏽 In bathroom just 1 type of gel, shampoo+bath gel+ soap all in one! With the help of the hotel the holiday was seriously spoiled, every day I had to go to the reception and swear And all apologies discount -1day price ! They top manager is very busy to fix all this...

Very clean room. Decently comfortable beds and pillows. No A/C. Whatever. It’s the mountains, you don’t generally expect enough hot weather to warrant air conditioning. We get it. No fans either though. And no eating dinner unless you’ve made a reservation. No warning at the front desk when we checked in either. We had been traveling all day, ending with the RIDICULOUS small, hot, crowded train into town, it was pouring rain and we were turned away from the restaurant. We had to walk in the rain and find something although, I’m pretty sure that actually worked to our advantage. There was a great burger place just a minute or two away. We found coffee this morning somewhere else and we will find dinner tonight and coffee in the morning elsewhere as well. The room is decent. No chairs anywhere in the room so nowhere to sit but the bed. There is a decent balcony with stunning views of Mont Blanc and only a stump to sit on. Never, in any place around the world and all over the US, have we ever encountered a balcony with no furniture. lol Go relax outside and stand……. And the wifi is terrible. Husband was trying to work and needed to get online to get info for a client that had a health emergency and the internet connection was terrible and then booted him off completely. He was patient and persevered though. The hotel is completely accessible as far as we can tell although the lift is very small and wasn’t working this morning. We do enjoy the fountains to fill our water bottles.

I would of given the higher rating if the supposed room we were given for 3 Adults was big enough for 3 of us but it wasn’t we were tripping over ourselves and trying to be considerate of our adult son in the small livingroom on the sofa bed however with only two sliding panels to separate us and any noises etc we found the space inadequate for 3 adults we had to go through an opening past our son to use the toilet , go to the bathroom or use the kettle which was in his livingroom/ bedroom which wasn’t screened off from us there were three openings in the room and only two of them could be closed over . He had no privacy and neither did we . Two separate rooms would of been so much better with a connecting door which could be locked if need be . The room wasn’t cheap neither as you can imagine but we had no choice to accept it as we only saw it when we checked in . We did take photos of the wooden panel on the wall holding the tv as this was hanging away from the wall as the raw plugs were visible . I did mention this to the staff when we checked out . Another sticking point for us was , we were in the Chalets across the road from the main hotel so we had to go there for meals or use the facilities which was a bummer . The good point was the food was awesome and the staff were very friendly and helpful too.
