We've just returned from a fabulous stay at the Castle for my daughter's hen weekend. We were a party of 19 - mixed ages 19 to 59! The facilities were great and the chalet layout suited us well. The oldies took the middle floor and the young ones had the top and ground floors. Because we were only there for a weekend we didn't choose the catered option as we wanted to party in the town too (a short walk away). Andrew was fantastic at giving great restaurant recommendations, both on and off the slopes. He also helped to arrange airport transfers, ski lessons and mini bus transfers to and from the slopes. He recommended a chef so we could eat in the chalet one night and they were superb too. I wanted to have some wine/fizz to welcome us all and Andrew ensured that this was chilling in the fridge for when we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble. He's a very friendly guy who completely understands what guests need to have a fantastic holiday. He was very patient with us - getting 19 hens ready for the minibus to the slopes each morning was quite a challenge (particularly after an evenings apres ski!). He took it all in his stride and with a smile on his face. Thank you Andrew, my daughter had the best hen do ! I'm sure we will see you...
Read moreNomadic Ski looked after our 18 skiers in “The Castle” in Feb 2023. The facilities were fantastic, with plenty of living space for everyone and multiple living areas for a big group. There is a bathroom for every room, some en-suite some not, and the accommodation was very comfortable. By far and away the thing that we underestimated though was the exceptional quality of caring staff making sure we had a great time. From business owners Andrew and Alex who organized everything from airport transfers and ski hire to lessons and guides, and who were there to pick us up and drop us at a new ski area each day, through to the hosts, chef (who cooked incredible meals) and drivers that all were so friendly and focused on us having a great week. They truly seemed to love their jobs, and how couldn’t they? They’re working in the best...
Read moreThis is the second time I’ve stayed with Nomadic Ski Holidays at The Castle and it is without a doubt my go-to when staying in Chamonix. The service is spot on and the accommodation is everything you need, short of a rooftop jacuzzi!
Location wise, it’s only a few minutes walk to the Aiguille du Midi lift and 5-10 from the main street with all the restaurants and gear shops.
Food wise, Natifs Cafe, nearby is a great spot for coffee and Cafe Bluebird, also nearby does a...
