We (two persons) stayed for 4 nights in a large room at this hotel and we were very happy with our stay! |First off, the staff were always so helpful with any questions and concerns we had, they were all so polite and friendly!|The hotel couldn't have a better location for exploring Montmartre especially. It's within 10 minute walking distance to Sacre Coeur and Place du Tetre for example and the street the hotel is on has countles cafés, restaurants and small shops with anything you want or need! It's also within a 5 minute walking distance to two different metro stations, meaning it was easy to travel to other parts of Paris as well. The street and neighbourhood was great and we saw no sketchy people whatsoever. The street is busy during the day and evening, but we found that it did quiet down towards midnight. We had a room with a view towards the street but we were never bothered by any noise. We slept really well each night! We never heard any sounds from adjacent rooms either, despite that they were occupied too at the time.|The hotel is newly renovated which really shows. Everything is modern, clean and the hotel also has an elevator which is great. We didn't try the breakfast so I can't say what it was like, but when taking a peak at it looked like a contintental type of breakfast with juice, coffée, tea, cold cuts and cheese plus cereals, bread and yoghurt.|Our room was very clean and surprisingly spacious for being Paris. We had plenty of room to unpack luggage and hang up clothes. The room also had a kettle with complimentary tea, a safe, hairdryer and tv. The room's windows could be opened, but since we were on the top floor, you couldn't go out on the balcony. The bed was spacious enough for two and comfortable. The bathroom was modern and clean as well. Great water pressure was a bonus. If I were to say anything negative about the bathroom it was that it was a bit small but that's Paris for you. As a Scandinavian, you're spoilt with big bathrooms and the size of the bathroom was made up for by everything being clean and the space being well used and designed.|Also a BIG plus: the air-conditioning in this room was the BEST we've ever experienced at a hotel. Never any foggy windows or mirrors or damp towels that won't dry. I can imagine this is a life saver for those summer days in Paris when it gets really hot.|All in all, we would absolutely stay again at this hotel. The whole experience was...
Read moreLovely place with lovely staff in the heart of a lovely Paris neighborhood. Only complaint is the small bathrooms.
Price couldn't be beat at €90/night for a large room (tho these may be Covid prices). Also added the continental breakfast. Ran us ~€1000 for 11 nights. Pretty good for being in one of the more happening parts of Paris.
Location can't be beat. Montmarte is loaded with cafes, restaurants, shops, and night life, while being easy walking distance to 3 or 4 metro stops and Sacre Couer. We felt like true Parisians walking around here.
The staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. Always there to greet us, and answer questions (including booking museum tickets and getting Covid tests for our return trip). Our room was always clean when we came back, etc.
The rooms were nice if a bit small (but, hey... Europe... size wasn't a big deal to us). Included a desk and a small luggage area. The bed was big and comfortable (equivalent to a US king size). The room had AC that worked well and we could control the temperature. Only real complaint was the bathrooms. They were newly renovated and and everything worked just fine (great water pressure), but they were tiiiiiiny. We literally had to climb over the toilet to get to the shower. I'm not very tall (only 5'8"), and I had to pivot around and splay my legs to manage to even sit on the toilet. An extra foot would have done wonders, but in a nice old building like this, I'm not sure how much they can do. Didn't spoil the stay for us.
Breakfast was... fine... Not up to a local café for breakfast, but was perfectly pleasant for a quick bite to eat before heading out on the town. Mostly croissants, cold cuts, cheese, and coffee...
Read moreIf I could give this hotel zero stars I would. My friend and I came to Paris for a girls weekend during study abroad and this was by far the worst accommodation I endured. It was worse than a hostel. The room we stayed in was in the attic. The ceiling was slanted and the room looked nothing like that of the pictures online. I felt like I was in a dorm room. Additionally the heat did not work in our room and when we told the front desk we got laughed at by the staff and were never given another room to stay in. Being December it was freezing and we had to sleep with our coats on. This was unacceptable for a hotel in this industry. The staff was rude on multiple accounts and never provided adequate solutions to our problems. Also when I tried to speak to the manager I was told that she would reach out to me when she was around. She proceeded to email me after she entered my room (without my knowledge, to fix the heat after having to spend a whole night in the cold) and also provided inadequate solutions to my problems. Causing me to have to deal with my awful experience continually during and after my stay. The manager seemed almost robotic and used decisive word choice to neglect addressing the issues that I endured and the disrespectfulness of her staff. This hotel experience was a headache and not something you would want during your stay in Paris. Save yourself the energy and book a...
