All these years visiting Paris I’ve always had professional and courteous service in shops and restaurants and have vehemently argued with anyone who suggested Parisians are rude. It's an unfortunate and unfair stereotype. Well, on this last trip to Paris I met my first and only rude Parisian -- a clerk at the Sezane store on rue du Bac. My plan was to purchase something from the brand in person - previous purchases were online. I waited my turn and then asked the clerk if she could help me, telling her I was interested in buying a black lace blouse, and that I know Sezane has several, so I wanted to try a few of the different styles to see which I liked best on me. Before approaching her, I looked around and could not find any on the floor - everything out was the latest season and a similar palette. The clerk was extremely abrupt, saying in the nastiest tone I've encountered anywhere that she could not possibly help me unless I told her the exact blouse I wanted to try - by name - that she could not work with what I'd requested (black lace blouses). And, although I asked, she didn’t offer any suggestions. It’s absurd that she has so little product knowledge or capacity or interest to help or to search on or off-line for options, even if she didn’t have the answers top of mind. She was not too busy, she was distinterested in being proactive. I almost walked out, but didn’t want her to ruin the result for me, so I asked if they had the Chlo style (one of their standard designs - a style whose name I could remember) in black lace. I liked and then purchased the top (getting any further help from her was impossible), but the experience left a rather foul taste. Hopefully this was a one-off and that future customers are not treated so poorly, although I've noticed from other recent reviews that this appears not to be an anomaly. Of note: the check-out experience by another staff member was much more pleasant. I wish I'd had him helping me! Even though the stores Bash (in Paris and Nice) and Des Petits Hauts (in Cannes) were just as popular and busy during my visit to France, the service at those shops was stellar - professional, knowledgeable, respectful and, above all, kind. I highly recommend Sezane initiates additional staff training on the products and...

Forget online shopping, Sezane's physical store is a revelation! I always loved their website, but stepping into their boutique was a whole new level of amazing. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff treated me with incredible care and attention, like I was in a luxurious spa. It's clear they hire and train their staff meticulously – they weren't just there to make sales, they were there to help me find the perfect pieces.
One heads-up for online shoppers: the store selection is curated, so it might not have everything you saw online. But here's the amazing part – if you come prepared with items you'd eyed online, they'll happily grab them from the back for you to try on! Talk about service!
By the time I got to Sezane, I was exhausted from a full day at Bon Marché. Otherwise, I would have spent hours trying on clothes! Finally, checkout was a breeze, and the way they wrapped my bag, and the additional care cream for the leather bag was just the cherry on top – so personal and delightful!
Sezane completely transformed my shopping day. They made me feel like a million bucks, which totally erased the bad experience I had earlier at Pablo. I can't recommend them enough –...

[previous comment:] Sézane is a clothing brand which I like very much and rarely get a chance to visit their shops. I went yesterday to Susan shop at the “Rue du Bac” address, initially hoping to buy lots of items. However it was a disappointing experience due to staff being unfriendly and inconsiderate. There were very few customers at the time I came. among the 4 - 5 members of staff present, only one (the one at the cashier) appeared engaging and friendly. While another one gave one useful piece of advice at some point I received little consideration overall.
Staff bearly greeting, not smiling, at times ignoring me - I did not feel welcome in the “rue du Bac” shop and felt like leaving the place ASAP. I bought one item. Had the staff been friendly I would have certainly spent longer and...
