Rick Owens — Local services in Paris

I'm a fan of Rick's design aesthetic and his clothing. His dark minimalist look suits my personal style although sometimes I feel challenged about how to wear his garments.

It was my birthday week. I felt the need to get off the island of Bali and enjoy some cultural city life. And thus I made my way to Paris - the epicenter of his universe.

Yes I had to knock on the door, and was warmly greeted by a sales person. The show room was featuring the latest runway it looks.

But alas I was looking for his signature dark & smoky t's and pod shorts which were nowhere to be seen. After conferring with the sales persons they scurried to the store room to find items that matched my requests. They did not disappoint.

The jersey T-shirts are impossibly finely knit, slinky & luxuriously long. I complimented the top with some dark gray pot shorts. When you put them altogether the look really begins to make sense.

I topped off the look with one of his signature bucket bags that hangs off one's shoulder. I was somewhat skeptical of the design at first, wondering how comfortable it would be. After wearing it for a couple months I'm finding its my new favorite bag.

It's deceptively well designed ergonomically and compliments the body. No matter how much stuff you fill it with it looks great and is comfortable to wear.

All in all I had a grand experience st the Grand Palais and scored stylish RO haul.

Shopping tip: you may not find what you looking for on the showroom floor. Be bold and ask for what you are interested in and the staff will present you with loads of options from their cache of RO goods. It may be out of sight but rest asured it is probably close at hand. It's all...

Very good experience, me and my little sister were greeted immediately at the door and welcomed in by a friendly sales associate. They checked if we were familiar with the designer but wasn’t going to turn us away if we weren’t, they also allowed me to walk around amazed for a few minutes as it’s my favourite designer :). I wouldn’t say i look “rich” or seem like i would have spent lots of money but they were still just as encouraging to try things on. My little sister who was just tagging along with me and doesn’t really have any interest in the designer was still treated well while she waited for me. The sales associate found me the perfect skirt even though I only gave them a few key words of what I was looking for. They also provided me with a shirt to try with the skirt because I came in with a dress on (which was very thoughtful). The sales associate Joe went out of their way to get my tax return because i’m on vacation from canada, this will save me tons of time when im going through customs.

This showroom is the very first one, the entrance is from the inside from the Palais Royal gallery. Open on call. The space presents not only clothes and jewelry, but also interior items. The staff is exceptionally positive, open, friendly. The types of employees are diverse and also represent the external aesthetics of Rick Owens: clothes are selected for each person taking into account their individuality, height, appearance - it is very beautiful.
