Hôtel Aoriste (ex Hôtel Louvre Piemont) — Hotel in Paris

I'll start off with the good stuff: -Beds: very comfy, bedding warm and snug, and as far as we could tell it was changed every day -Location: bang in the centre, great restaurants nearby, can reach most sights on foot -Noise (out back): the windows out back are great, however out front is a club, which is noise -Clean: rooms and bathroom are speaky clean

Now on to the - sadly greatly outweighing - bad: -Noise (inside): at 8am builders started work in the hall; sadly, the doors are more cardboard than wood, so our night was over; the flushing of the toilets in the floors above rings through the whole room; other guests thought it was fun to hold a conference in the halls, and while this is not the hotel's fault, better doors would've made it bearable at least. -Bed size: I guess its a general french problem, but 190cm beds are a joke. -Room size: next to the bed, we were just about able to open on suitcase on the floor; for a "standard double" we expected to at least walk around without having to hobble around objects -Shower: 180cm high, perfect height to hit my head multiple times. -Toilet: bearly enough space to sit down. -- all these issues stem from too little space, if you book here, dont get the "cheapest" room. -coffee machine: leaky, nice for a surprise foot bath on the floor. Lastly: -elevator was out for a few days, reception told us "they were on their way", yeah, monday it was i guess. If you were on the 6th floor, at least you would be able to get in a grand workout.

For a four star hotel i'd expect more. Been to more luxurious hostels than this. I guess if you have the spare change, then book the suits and have a blessed stay. If not, there's plenty of other options around with the same on offer...

We stayed at this facility beginning of April. The front staff was very helpful. The manager greeted us and helped us with the luggage. The room is very sound prove. The bathroom is decent. I would have rated this place 5 stars. But unfortunately when we checked in the manager told us that the breakfast is included and it is already paid for when we made the reservation. We did not check our reservation since we just took his word. We never received an official amount for the breakfast. Since he guaranteed that the breakfast is already paid for we just went with the facility breakfast in the morning. The breakfast indeed was very good and the lady at the breakfast counter was very helpful. Initially we had plans to eat breakfast at Indian restaurants close by. Since we were informed that it is already paid for we went with the breakfast at this hotel. When we checked out we were told that the breakfast was never included and we had to pay for it again separately.|When we contacted the manager or the director he said that he never mentioned that it was paid for. This is not true. Not sure why he lied. I really want to give this facility the benefit of the doubt as we felt this person is very honest and upfront. Please double check your reservation if the breakfast is included are not and do not take their word for it.|I really want to like this place and we were thinking of going back. The positives are that this hotel is an excellent location.It was walking distance to many of the popular sites, including the Louvre.The rooms were extremely clean and the breakfast were better than we expected.All the staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating,with the exception of Stephan,at the reception desk.A few minutes before the 3:00PM check in time we asked him when our room would be ready.He said in a loud voice "You Americans are all all alike.You expect big rooms and are demanding."This surprised us since we hadn't mentioned anything about room size.He looked up our reservation and said that we booked a standard room and would have to wait.He told us next time we should book a better room.This surprised us because we are well traveled and never before experienced such rude treatment.We spent well over $3,000 for our stay and didn't expect such...
