We ended up in this place with my partner for a late lunch, and left looking for food again. Menu looked nice and I ordered a chilli hummus on home made soda bread with roasted peppers and a bowl of lentil soup (€8.90). My partner ordered a brie and beetroot tart with mustard slaw (€8.50). The waitress goes then in the open kitchen and starts preparing our order. She starts by taking out a plastic wrapped tart from the freezer and shoves it in the oven. She then gets two slices of Aldi soda bread and spreads hummus on them.. Order arrives at the table, I flag to the waitress that the bread doesn't look home made, she said they ran out of it. I told her then that there is no roasted peppers and she said she ran out of them too! So that was €8.90 for 2 slices of Aldi bread with hummus and a bowl of soup, which wasn't lentil either but more like a broth. Anyway, I refused the whole lot. Without surprise, my partner's lunch didn't look better, with the tart which looked and tasted like low quality plane food, and no sign of mustard slaw. So this place happily takes orders and serve dishes missing half of the ingredients without saying so. Food we got was not homemade or fresh anyway. At the end, we politely gave our feedback to a waiter and stared angrily and refused all of the points we were trying to make. He eventually said sorry at the end, but overall was not receiptive to any kind of costumer feedback. To summarise, avoid this place...
Read moreMenu outside was extremely eye catching so we were drawn in , inside was tiny two tables in front of the counter cluttered up the space and didn't make sense to be there as you can't sit inside ,but you have to wait for your take away order inside, there were boxes of coffee lids and packets of cookies on the table also which indicated very poor storage , we ordered two smoked brie, bacon avocado, sun dried tomato pesto on focaccia bread with salad and two cans of lemon sanpellegrino which came to the bones of €25 a little over priced for what we recieved. I have to add there was only one lady making up the plates of food for outdoor dining and take aways which I thought was crazy, orders were being fired at her left right and centre and I did feel sorry for her as pressure was on as it was very busy which also lead to a longer wait for our food . All in all I wouldn't be in a rush to go back there again if it...
Read moreFood was reasonable, slightly overpriced at €19.10 for a chicken salad sandwich on white and a toasted ham and cheese with a tea and a coffee. Service was good and no issue per se with all of this but my main gripe here is no use of hand gloves whilst making a sandwich, no use of hand sanitizers and in fairness the guy said they wash their hands but when ?? And my sever was wiping the counter with a tea towel as I ordered and then proceeded to make a sandwich. I was told after I paid and queried this that I could have requested gloves but this is embarrassing to ask someone to be hygienic when making you something that you eat and pay for. I wash my hands when making a sandwich for myself or anyone else so expect this level of hygiene in the current climate. Also no card machine which is unusual in the world of tap and go and not everyone...
