Jean Saadé — Local services in Florence

This review may go on a bit......but I cannot say enough wonderful things about this proprietor. I had my first trip to Firenze about 2 weeks ago. My husband had been a few times before, and I was not able to join him on those trips. Of course, the Internet gives us a way to live vicariously....so when he came home the first time ( in 2017 or so) , I started researching Florentine jewelry and jewelers. I found Mr. Saade's website and was enthralled. Of course, it was a wish list.... but I kept it bookmarked and would look occasionally... dreaming of the time I could go to Florence myself.

Flash forward to 2 weeks ago. My husband and I are on the Ponte Vecchio and I find a ring in the 'Florentine" style that I wanted, but it was outrageously priced. We had a tour at the Uffizi that we had to get to, and at the end, I asked our private guide where there was a place to get reasonable, quality jewelry. She was quite lovely, and scoffed at all the shops on the Ponte Vecchio. She sent me the link of the jeweler that she recommended and told me that it was the best quality and fairly priced.

Now I will be ashamed to say, that in my excitement to visit Florence, I had not completely remembered Mr Saade's website. I had looked once or twice, but figured that we would not have time to find it. So, imagine my surprise, when I opened the link and it was Mr Saade's store!!!!! At that point, I knew fate was intervening...and I made it a point to go visit.

From the minute I walked in the kindness and professionalism was evident. I found a ring I absolutely LOVED in the Florentine style and was given a very fair price. The customer service by Mr Saade and his staff was excellent. They even called my phone when I had forgotten my receipt! He sized the ring beautifully for me. And best of all, as it was my 32nd wedding anniversary, my husband did not have too much of a fit over the price ;-)

This will be my 'go to' jeweler everytime I get the chance to go to Firenze. The craftmanship and quality are superb. And the customer service is wonderful. I highly, highly recommend to go to this store...skip the bridge....and get treated right here...with quality jewelry, excellent skill, kind people and fair...

My husband and I came to Florence on our honeymoon, hoping to find our wedding bands. We wanted to be able to associate our rings with the special memory of our honeymoon, and not with some generic retailer. We did our research ahead of time, scouting out about 6 of TripAdvisor's highest rated jewelry stores in Florence, and visited each one. Jean Saade simply blew the rest of them out of the water. The delicate Florentine-style gold work here simply has no competition based on quality alone. Outside of that, we loved that Jean Saade is a family-owned business that hand crafts their jewelry in their own workshop, not a corporation-owned store front like many of those on Ponto Vecchio. However, they had a level of professionalism in dealing with international customers that none of the other family-owned businesses that we visited displayed. Carlos and Jean helped us find and size the most perfect rings, and even did mine at a half size since I was in-between two sizes. They offered to get us our rings within two days, but because we were leaving the next day, they shipped the rings to us in beautiful packaging within a week of arriving home.

Everything about both the experience and the rings was smooth, professional, and just perfect. Do yourself a favor and just visit Jean Saade when you're in Florence - don't waste your time like we did shopping around! Save that time to go see all the incredible sights and trust that Jean and Carlos will take good...

My boyfriend and I had an absolutely wonderful experience here at Jean’s store.

He showed us several pieces and explained the history behind the pieces. I fell in love with a rose gold ring, with diamonds in the traditional Florentine style.

Jean even encouraged me to think about my purchase. I did not feel rushed to make a decision or purchase anything if I didn’t love it. I called back a few days later and my ring was able to be resized.

When we picked up the ring on Friday before we least Italy, we received all the needed paperwork for the VAT refund and documents needed for insurance.

The customer service here is top notch and I can’t wait to come back and purchase more jewelry from Jean and his family.

We were even given recommendations on where to get gelato and shop for leather goods! 10/10...
