DERRICKS FIRENZE — Local services in Florence

I work in luxury retail with a globally recognized brand. Walking into this shop was no different than the top notch service you'd expect from a high end retailer. Alexis was awesome. It was our first 5 hours in Florence. I walked in because the entrance sucks you in. It's a narrow entrance that sucks you into a long hallway displaying the goods. A combination of the 90's county and rock music was the perfect music to match the aesthetic of this family owned biz.

Normally when I visit new cities, I spend the first few days looking around then revisit the shops I want to shop at once I take a look at what is around.

I had intent to buy some nice shoes and clothes made from Italy in Florence. I just didn't know it would be here.

I knew it was the right spot because my feet are very odd sizes for shoes to fit... It's very hard for me to find 4EE wide shoes in general that look really cool... He busted out a couple and they weren't giving with my fit... Then the third pair of shoes fit as if they were meant to be part of me. They look so dope. They feel great. And I didn't hesitate about the asking price because the look and quality of the leather and stitching were top notch made in the Tuscany region.

I'm just bummed now because when I go back to L.A. I'll know this store won't be accessible to me. Guess it's another reason to come back to Florence lol. Thanks A!

Just to add. Even my friends bought lol. And while we were being rung out. Some groups of people who visited a couple of days before had come back to commit to a purchase.

There's no hassle or pressure to buy here. You can tell the owner just loves to be there. Work with people to get the right thing for them and believes in the product.

I'm actually so stoked about these shows as I sit here staring at them on front of me as I type this review. Knowing when I get back to L.A. no one's going to have these shoes and I will gladly show...

We stumbled upon this beautiful little shop in Montepulciano and so happy we did. The owner of the shop was a beautiful, stylish woman and was so helpful as I was trying to find the right leather belt. I found so many unique pieces in the store and I finally settled on a gorgeous belt. My friend was also looking for a belt but for a specific color and couldn’t find the color. When we mentioned we were going to visit Firenze, she let us know she had another store there in the old town in case we had time to stop by. So, we did go to Firenze and we found Derricks and was immediately greeted by the owner’s beautiful, stylish and exuberant daughter Sharon! She was so bubbly and outgoing and immediately we were so happy to have stopped by. In this store are many beautiful, fine leather goods, and other fashionable items of clothing and jewelry. It was so hard to choose between two other unique, gorgeous and finely crafted belts so I just bought them both! What the heck, you don’t find these types of belts back home, they are truly one of a kind! My friend found the color belt she was looking for, plus a buckle that made her belt stand out!
