Le Murate — Restaurant in Florence

We LOVE this place! We went to Le Murate for the first time back in December for drinks and Aperitivo with friends. We enjoyed the atmosphere so much, that we decided to book our rehearsal dinner for family in June.

The team at Le Murate hosted our group of 60 people flawlessly. Because the location is in the former prison, there is a beautiful courtyard for outdoor dining. Our family loved the close and intimate feeling of the courtyard, while still being in the city. The food was delicious and the drinks even better. Our family is still talking about how much they enjoyed the evening.

Food was excellent, such a shame that the service was poor and the staff was quite rude. Apparently if you’re a tourist you’re not welcome, they treat different locals from tourists. We wanted to have a local experience, have a live music show eat and drink therefore we got our drinks in plastic cups when everyone was getting their drinks in a proper glass, didn’t allowed us to enjoy the live music event and charge us 30€ for a poor experience. Edit: based on recent response, i had roasted potatoes with rosemary on it is a new kind of gaslighting.

I was not given nor did i order a coffee. i had a water and roasted potatoes.

the waitress told me nothing on the menu was being served because it was lunch.
