When I think of what a 5 star service is like, Bazooka Menswear is the definition of that!

I was in Italy for a friend’s wedding when someone from the wedding referred me to Bazooka Menswear. I told myself I wanted to pick up a couple of authentic made in Italy suits and jackets.

When I first walked into the store on Wednesday 09/19/24, I was warmly greeted by the owner, Mr. Clemente. Right off the bat he shook my hand and introduced himself. He looked at me, grabbed a couple of shirts and jackets, and said, “you’re a size 52 in jacket and a 42 in dress shirt”. I looked at him and said no way he was able to guess my sizes by looking at me. I tried on the jackets and shirts and guess what? They all fitted me perfectly! Clemente was also able to pick out my pants size correctly too.

I told him what day I was flying back home on Saturday and he told me he will get everything tailored by the next day for me (Thursday). Once everything was done, he treated my wife and I out for some authentic Italian coffee.

When I returned the following day to pick up my items, again, he warmly greeted me. I asked him if I could try on some more jackets and again he made some more outstanding recommendations. I ended up buying 5 more jackets. Clemente remembered I was flying home in 2 days, but yet he promised me he will get my jackets tailored within a few hours for pickup. Before going to the tailor, he again treated my wife and I out to some delicious Italian coffee.

He drove my wife and I over to the tailor in his personal vehicle. He parked his car and asked us to wait while he walked in to the store and dropped off the jackets for me. Traffic that day was HORRENDOUS because of a strike with the taxi and bus drivers. Clemente did not complain and talked to us like we were his long time friends.

Later on that night, he called me on WhatsApp just to follow up to make sure I picked up my jackets with no issue.

Never thought I would go on vacation in Italy and leave with a life long friend now. From now on whenever I go back to Rome, I will definitely reach back out to Clemente.

To begin this review, I would like to introduce myself. I am a 2nd year Nursing student from Washington, DC, USA. I am here in Rome, Italy for 4 months as part of my study abroad program. The first month I arrived to Italy I began my research on two things, traveling and suits. Especially bespoke suits. I was initially thinking of flying to the UK to have suits made and shipped but that would ruin the entire point of being in Italy. The saying "when in Rome" really inspired me to get suits made in Italy instead. After many episodes of window shopping and getting estimates. I came across Bazooka Menswear. The one thing that really attracted me was that it was a father and son business and the online reviews. There were NO negative reviews. The day I walked in, I was greeted in by Mr Bazooka as if he was my long lost Uncle. He immediately began assessing my style and body style. After some firm handshakes he gave me numerous suits that already fitted me to try on, all while giving me advice on how to be a gentleman and proper suit etiquette. Especially with thick Israeli accent, I felt his wisdom as he suited me up like a special agent. Also Mr Bazooka has been in the game long enough where his accuracy on sizing is remarkable, to the point where the suits he gave me to try on were near perfect. Even while on Facetime with my uncle in the states he was able to provide a near accurate measurement. I left that day ordering three of the finest suits I have ever dawned in addition to leather dress shoes, a couple of dress shirts, and socks. Now typically once a sale is completed you are old news, not at Bazooka. You become a family member. Mr Bazooka even now keeps in touch through WhatsApp and answers questions, something no other Owner would even think of doing. The service here is long lasting. Recently I had an issue with my dress pants and my shoes, Mr Bazooka rectified it, free of charge. You will only hear praises for Mr Bazooka and his shop. No other place in Rome can even compete to the level of care and compassion he and his son share for suits...

Btw, I am pong this under my wife's account. ....Everything you read, I know I know, is hard to believe, but, I gotta tell ya, it is true….I met the man himself and he saved me from a wedding catastrophe. I was only 2 days in Rome and I drop into his shop just past noon. Immediately Mr. Bazzoka greeted me as if he was my father. So warm and friendly, but what is more important is his eye for detail. He just clicked his fingers, badda boom, badda bing, and he nails my size , perfectly. One look and he knows. He takes a beautiful suit, and, of course, it fits. Clicks, again, and does the same for the belt, which he makes with his tools right then and there. Presto, perfecto, 3 notches and it , of course fits. This continues for the shoes, again perfect fit, perfect look, shirts, again, he does not miss a beat. He has an incredible eye for fit, detail and colouring.

Then I say I am leaving the next day. Oh my God Mr . Bazzoka says, eye ya yeah, oh dear god….All right, okay , okay. I will call the tailor, he will do me a favour, it is your daughter’s wedding. I hear the phone conversation, all in Italian, but I think it went well, a lot of gestures, some oh la’s and me oh my’s but….I keep my fingers crossed. And , as you know what I am gonna say, all set straight. Done. He says it will be all done, tomorrow at 7PM . I pay him and very reasonable price. The payment process was smooth and hassle-free, and the pricing was reasonable considering the superior quality of the products.

Now your not gonna believe what happens next…my wife wants a dress, and he says, come with me…we go out and he takes us to the best, Italian shops on Via Nazionale ( no Chinese knocks offs, but of course!!) Eventually, she also gets her dress, at Marella’s.

Now he says, come with me, and takes us to a coffee shop, to buy us both a cappuccino…..
