It's a miracle! There's finally a place to watch movies in OV (original voice). Almost every theater in Rome only plays dubbed movies, gross.
Newly remodeled. I think there are 8 "Salas". The theaters are medium to small sized. Great sound that you could feel and also drown out rude guests. We know this because there were 5 girls chatting the entire movie yet we could only hear them during silent moments in the movie. Comfortable chairs, plenty of space between you and your neighbor and space to squeeze out if you need to leave for a wee. They sell popcorn €4 for small, drinks €3, and candy.
Only downside is their website only shows movie times for current movies and not for upcoming movies. So we wanted to see what times Avatar 2 would be playing on Wednesday (opening night), but the night before (Tuesday) they didn't have it up so we couldn't plan ahead. Movies also have a short run. Even Avatar 2 only seems to be playing for 1 week.
Great spot for tourists and expats to...
Read moreThe movie theater itself is quite nice and pleasant with comfortable seats, but the reason for my negative review is actually because of a very poor experience I had with theft at this theater. I went here to watch a movie by myself and left my cap on the seat while I went to the restroom for a few minutes. When I came back, I saw that someone had taken and stolen it from the seat in that short time span, which was very surprising as I have been to several movie theaters in different countries and this was the first time I had something so brazenly stolen from me like this. Thankfully it was only my hat and not something more valuable like a phone or a wallet, but the whole experience left me with a bad feeling about this theater, considering that in order to enter the theater room you must have a movie ticket, i.e. it is not open to the public and if theft can occur in an apparently secure place so easily, I would seriously reconsider if I would like to come back to this...
Read moreFeels like it's the Spa version of the cinemas in Rome 🤩 The seats are so big and comfortable that you won't want to leave the theatre!
They have Movies in both Italian AND English (original language/version with Italian subtitles).
You can see all options on their website which is also easy to manage.
I thibk online a tickets are 10eur vs 8 at the counter but I'm not sure. There discounts for students etc though. Not cheap but I think it's worth it!
Tip: Sometime movies have different days/hours for screenings - if your are flexible with that, check which date/time has the biggest Theatre and go for that.
They also have screens ("Sala" 5 for example) with ATMOS sound which is better/richer than normal sound so that's also something you should...
