If you don't want to be guilt tripped by the owner for not fully finishing watered down bean sprout broth soup they call "Udon", I suggest you avoid this place.
You get two rounds of ordering and honestly we did not, at all, order unreasonable amounts of food. Some nigiri, one sashimi combo dish, appetizers, and a roll.
As we were about to get our check, the lady, likely the owner, comes up to us with a confrontational and rude demeanor and tells us we need to pay for the remainder of the Udon we didn't finish. Mind you, we ate the majority of the noodles, left bean sprouts which was 80% of the ingredients of the soup. It was unpalatable, period. She told us we shouldn't order too much food when that's all we left. It's what I told her and she would continuously tell us, "you shouldn't have ordered so much food."
In the end she didn't make us pay but my time, my meal, was already ruined. I usually wouldn't stand up, but this was out of line. It's a shame because our waiter was very nice.
Locals and travelers, take my advice and stay away from this "AYCE." Shame on this owner, this is not how you should run a business or treat...
Read moreFor the All You Can Eat, It doesn't work like the American way of buffet like you walk and get stuffs from a table top, but through ordering from the menu once and they will bring to you.
First the waiter gave you the menus and a paper. On the menu you can order anything except the black dots that are indicated beside the meal. Tepanyaki category can only order once, and one selection (There are around 4 to 6 to choose one from). So you write down the code and the quantity you want. They will either serve the plates one by one or altogether on your table.
21.50 euros is the price, but it is compulsory to have a drink, and the cheapest is water or soft drinks that cost 2.50 euros. Adding a service fee of 1.50 euros, the total is 25.50.
I myself had all these, and Im 100% full!!! The sushis that I ordered are all the varieties that are in the menu and included in the All You Can Eat price. Definitely must try their grilled chicken tepanyaki, very delicious.
Service is standard, the boss asked me twice if I needed help on the menu. The male waiter also poured water for my glass. I was given a fortune cookie after...
Read moreAfter having lots of pasta was looking for a non-pasta restaurant and walked past this on the way back to the accommodation. Looked quite good and walked in. The male service staff was really good and gave excellent recommendations. I actually asked lots of questions as I wasn't sure if I wanted to go with ala carte or all-you-can-eat. Do note that some dishes in the menu are not included, such as chawanmushi and the sashimi is only valid for one order per person. However the with the range of different sashimi to order I feel it's more than enough choices to choose from, so no complains there. Usuzukuri is a must-eat, the best dish in the whole restaurant, perfect refreshing blend of ice cold sashimi in Rome's Summer heat mixed with mango!
Only complain was that the female waitress seemed more concerned about setting the table than serving me. If other customers were waiting for the table I can understand but there was no customers waiting and more than enough ready tables perfectly set and waiting for customers.
Still a great experience overall and...
