Dakota Luxury Vintage & Secondhand Shop — Local services in Rome

In the interest of full disclosure, I love handbags. So for someone like me, this place is heaven!! The shop is quite small but it is curated like a gallery. Every piece is beautiful. I wish I could have bought everything in the shop. Just amazing. There is a mix of new, second hand and vintage and, while it is primarily a handbag shop, there is also an incredible collection of designer pieces, like backgammon boards and watch boxes etc. It is therefore also the perfect place to buy something for someone who appreciates the finer things, where the unnecessary becomes essential :-) But in spite of all this wonderful-ness, the best part of Dakota is the absolutely divine Pamela who owns this delightful shop. I was so fortunate to intern here at the beginning of 2025 and absolutely loved the store, the wonderful ladies I worked with and the beautiful bags I got to see every day! Not only are Pamela and Georgiana so nice, they also are so knowledgeable and passionate about the products that I was able to learn so many new things about the luxury fashion world. Their ability to speak in many different languages made this an incredible experience to meet customers from all over the world who shared the same love and passion for these luxury items. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this store is! I have been living in Rome for a few months now and searching for a beautiful luxury bag, and I prefer to buy 2nd hand.
