Lazord Roma (gemstone jewels and more) — Local services in Rome

I came in here with my parents and boyfriend. To note, I am Asian, my boyfriend is Hispanic. They have beautiful pieces and some really nice rings and earrings. I was trying on some rings as I have a wedding to attend next week. I did try on quite a few pieces, but in the end, I didn’t decide to get anything. As we left, we walked towards The Pantheon and the owner runs out and rushes us to go back. We obliged, and as we all go in, he closes the door on us and locks us inside the store and accused us of stealing two rings. He said two were missing from his trays. We were shocked, but we all said please go ahead and check our things. He said he wasn’t allowed to check but he would call the police to. We all encouraged him to call the police as we have nothing to hide- we didn’t steal anything. In the end, he said that I know it was you, you were the only one to come in (even though there were two other ladies in the store at the time) and he said it was me. He opened the door and let us go. I encouraged him again to call the police but he just asked us to leave.

The so called missing rings were from a tray of $10 and $20…. We spent so much money on flights and accommodation to go on this trip… so i would happily have spent $10/ $20 to PAY for the rings if I had wanted them.

I suggest for the owner to get cameras in his store if he is so paranoid about this. Do not recommend coming here.

In the end I feel like he was pissed off because I tried so many rings on and didn’t decide to get anything in the end.

*Edit: the reply states that they don’t want to install a CCTV because they want to “create a welcoming atmosphere”, I guess accusing families of stealing is more...

This place is amazing and has beautiful quality pieces. The gentleman and his daughter that run the store have unmatched kindness. Shopping here was such an amazing experience for my husband and I it was truly memorable. I loved a bracelet i saw in the window which drew me into the store it was to big and they adjusted it for me. I had purchased and left the store with the bracelet and the gentleman chased after me and found me on the street in what felt like 100 degrees to give me the extra pieces he took off the bracelet and then made me earrings with it. I went back three more times. This is a must visit wether your local or visiting roam. They have scarves to. If I could give it one million stars i would. Please do not miss this store in your visit to Roam this is the place for your affordable quality jewelry...

We came to this beautiful shop 3 years ago while fleeing the war in Ukraine and coming to Canada. The owner (Yasser) was very kind and generous, he recommended us a necklace that we bought as a gift for our Canadian friend and also he found a necklace for me. During these 3 years this necklace has been my favorite and most beautiful jewelry. It was not expensive but of extraordinarily excellent quality.
