We were working with a Chinese-speaking colleague and then an unrelated Japanese one started taking our clothes and ignoring us, we said we were speaking with a Chinese-speaking employee who was familiar with our specific requests, and also showed the Japanese translation but she just found it funny and ignored us, mockingly saying Chinese Chinese to another of her colleague. Unsure if this was subtle racism or a misunderstanding but the staff was very impolite. Also they have no private changing areas and ask for a 20.000 cash deposit if dropping off the clothes at another store of theirs. They also insisted we leave a review (we weren’t going to leave one initially)...

We were recommended by multiple friends to come here because they have kimonos of the best quality at a very reasonable price. It ain’t lies!! This place has the warmest staff and a good collection. I was wearing a 3 layer summer kimono and wasn’t sweating at all. The makeup and hairdresser are also very professional. A lot of other rental places give everyone the same makeup but here they cater to your facial features. I really feel like a traditional Japanese princess after I put everything on. Would definitely come again next time...
