They were not obstructing anyone, and no one raised any concerns. However, when we returned this year, the situation was handled very differently.
Despite behaving the same way—sitting quietly and out of the way—the owner personally asked them to stand up. This unnecessary intervention upset our son and cut our visit short, as he repeatedly asked us to leave afterward. It made continuing our shopping impossible.
We chose instead to visit the owner’s brother’s shop, 㐂一泽 (Ki-Ichizawa), where they thoughtfully provide a couple of seats and a small garden space for customers and families. That simple consideration made a world of difference.
Last time, we purchased Bag 311 and several pen pouches from Ichizawa, and my wife bought three handbags. Despite its larger space compared to Ki-Ichizawa, Ichizawa has made no effort to accommodate customers with basic seating. The fact that it was the owner himself who asked our children to stand makes this all the more disappointing.
