I was staying around the corner from this dumpling house and seeing people were lining up for long hours and hours day and night.

Inside of the store looks greasy and very old so if you like somewhere well organised and super clean modern place to eat, here is not for you.

We decided to have early lunch before getting on bullet train, and there were 3 men were already lined up at 10:12 am( the restaurant is opened from 11:00am ). Waited over 50 minutes and got into the store. As soon as they opens the door, small restaurant inside was filled up with people and still there were more people were waiting outside.

The taste is good, however more than the taste, I enjoyed the conversation with people who were waiting with. Some of them came from Osaka for eat this meal so they said they will head back to their job as soon as finishing their early lunch. This restaurant was on TV so it became popular between people.

Yes “ Tenshinhan “ was delicious and Dumpling were nice, too however could not find out the reason why people wait over 30 minutes or more.

If you are hungry and in hurry to have something and if this dimpling house is in front of you with no customers, yes you must eat in here.

There are lots of nice restaurants not only here in Kyoto, so you can find more better place than here easily. However I give 5 stars for the “ atmosphere “ is simply enjoying the conversation with people who were about to try this tiny restaurant meal. Everyone came from different place and our purpose were the same, and it spiced up our holiday in good...

Ok-ish Chinese food, good for a regular meal, but nothing to get crazy about. The place looks old and relatively clean, or relatively dirty (half full half empty glass kind of deal), I guess that helps to give it a not so touristic look and makes it attractive for travelers looking for the “real deal”. There were plenty of locals, but in the end I guess is just to take advantage of the traditional old look and not renovate it or clean it too much. I would not do the line to get in if it is long, I waited like 5 minutes as it was early and I was curious why so much people do the line everyday. Nothing to be memorable, but as said, ok food, kind of...

I've lived near this place for 8 years. I used to go there but haven't been for over 5 years. The food is ok, very greasy and overpriced. The inside is small and dirty. The fact that there is often a queue outside baffles me. I can only think its because there aren't many restaurants around here and there's a heard mentality going. The fact people queue for this food is a sad indictment on the state of...
