We just finished 8 delightful days here and have already made plans to return soon.|The hotel is not glamorous, but it has all you need for a great stay in Kyoto at a reasonable price. Rooms are rather small by American standards, but quite sufficient unless you have a lot of luggage. Bathrooms (TOTO) are very 21st century and of haute quality! Real Buck Rodgers bathrooms get you very clean, very comfortably. Cleanliness is everywhere in this hotel.||Legasta Shirakawa is located on a canal just off one of the main east/west roads close to Gion. It is a short and beautiful walk to Gion or downtown. It is quite centrally located as far as any of the many attractions of Kyoto go. The location is in a very quiet residential area with no street noise at all. There is a neighborhood grocery store a block away, open 24/7.||The staff are a delight as well. Haruka checked us in smoothly and surprised us later that night with a hand-written list of dining suggestions! Mikiko, who speaks excellent English, was there most afternoons and was a font of good advice about the area, as well as having a wonderful sense of humor. ||We had a memorable Sakura 2025 in Kyoto and are looking forward to our next...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Legasta, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The location was perfect with easy access to popular attractions and public transport.
The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable stay. From the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful concierge service, I felt truly valued as a guest.
The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with all the amenities I could ask for, including a cozy bed, fast Wi-Fi, and a stunning view of the city. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, keeping everything spotless.
Overall, Hotel Legasta provided an exceptional experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I will definitely be returning on...
Read moreWe stayed here for 4 nights, and it was absolutely great. Our room had two medium sized beds, a tv, minifridge and a clean toilet and showerroom. The room was so nice that we almost wanted to spend the whole day there, just relaxing. ||The hotel is also very well located, just a few minute walk to a large “park” where a couple of big buddhist temples are and also just a 10-minute walk from the downtown area. We barely took a metro or bus when we stayed here since everything was within a walking distance. ||The only downside of our stay was that we almost never saw someone at the reception and when someone was there we were never greeted before heading out for the day. So that is something to...
