Loved staying at the e stay second house . There are only two apartments so it's more private then staying next door at there apartment building with many units There are also three subway lines near the hotel . From Shin Osaka Station after getting off the Shinkansen from Toyko take the red M line at M13 to M21, exit 4 then walk 10 mins. To KIX airport : From our E Stay Namba second guest house walk go left of estay exit and walk to Shin Imamiyaebisu Station by the 7-11 side of the street. You will see the overhead train overpass . Cross the street and the train station entrance is to your right . This station is not on your regular subway train map since it's a private train line
Go through turnstile You will see bathroom on your right and elevator is there go up and Take platform 2 for Namba station Ride 1 stop to Namba JPY 180 Get off go left *Follow signs for elevator 3F North Gate but don't go on any elevators and you will see soda machines in front of you also, then Make a right Go pass the up escalator but don't go on any Escalator and continue to walk straight then You will see bathrooms, make a left And look to your left and you will see platform 5/6 for the Airport Express. Depending on the time you want to board or when the next train to the airport is, will determine which platform 5 or 6 you will get on. You don't need to buy a ticket for the Airport Express at any vending machine . You just get on the train and when you exit the train at KIX airport and go through the exit turnstiles use your Suica IC card to pay for the Airport Express. The train ride is only 1 hour max to KIX Airport. It's cheaper than the rapid train or other trains on the other platform with reserved seats and it's only about 10 mins. slower but you will save almost half the cost of buying reserved seats at the pink vending machines for the rapid trains.
Exit right of hotel :
Supermarket: You can also exit to your right from e stay and there is a big supermarket across the street with bright lights and it starts with a "T" I think Tameda which is maybe one or two blocks to your right and across the street from e stay.
Another local subway train line . It's the brown line K line at K 18 . See if you can transfer from anywhere in Osaka to the k line since you will have less walking back to the hotel than from the red M line.
Many late night take out or eat in Japanese style fast food convenience restaurants near hotel . Walk less than 10 mins. To the Shinsekai market and famous Tsutenkaku Hondori shopping Street and look for the talk observation tower that is lit up at night. There are so many restaurants and lots of food here and a McDonald's.
Download a subway map . Don't just follow Google maps . It may tell you that you can only take this line or that , or there is no other possible way ,but if you look at your train map you can find alternatives ways to get somewhere by transferring to this or that line. But the K line is closer walk to the hotel then the red M line. Also , the special lines by 7-11 at Shin Imamiyaebisu Station is much closer walk to e stay than the red M line.
Also, e stay only has a washing machine and you can hang things to dry , but there is a laundry place with a dryer if you exit to your left of estay and walk towards the Red line and if you look left before you cross the street to the the last family mart before the red line then you will see a 24/7 laundry with a dryer that takes only coins.
Loved staying here for the location , size of the apartment...
Read moreStayed 2 nights in a 4th floor apartment at end Oct 23. Room is big and spacious with one double bed and a single bed. The sofa is like a day bed and can be used as a bed too. However I feel the sofa is not so clean. The aircon is not enough to warm the entire room. I’m sure during winter will be very cold nearer to the kitchen and sitting area. Not enough power point in the room too. The light is too dim at night as well. It uses orange sport light and the coverage is not as wide. Can be quite dark in the night. Washing machine is a great advantage. There is no dryer facilities. There is balcony to dry the laundry but because the apartment is by the main road , so it might be too dusty to dry the laundry outside. I felt the space is good for 2 to 3 pax. Toilet and shower room are separated. A bit of road noise as it is located next to the road. Cleanliness is 3.5/5. Checking in is easy with the number pad. Checking out is strictly by 10am ( a fine will be imposed if check out is delayed). Located is good as there is a 24hrs supermarket across the road. Lawson is just across the street too. Walking distance to Shinseikai. I walked to Tennoji zoo as well. One station fm NAMBA station. Can take train at Imamiyaebisu station (no elevator - 6 mins walk fm apartment) to Kansai airport but need one change at Izumisano Station before reaching Kansai airport. The fare is 970yen. Wifi is bad and as good as non existent. Used my own data plan instead. There is another E stay Ebisu 150m down the street. It is 6 Mths newer than...
Read moreStayed in two rooms with a family of 5. Owner left a nice welcome note for us. Check-in was smooth. Actually, there was no check-in at all. You get the code for the main entrance and the room numbers with their respective PIN codes via email a few days prior to your arrival. That's it! Neighborhood is relatively quiet, yet conveniently located. A Lawson konbini and a supermarket are right across the street. Closest station is Nankai Imamiya-ebisu at about 3 minutes by foot, Midosuji-line subway is about a 10 min walk. You can also walk to Dotonbori within like 20 minutes. Rooms are big enough, with a bed for two people and one person, respectively. Small kitchenette, fridge, microwave, water boiler. Bathroom, toilet very clean and obviously freshly renovated. Washing machine, which includes a drying function, I believe. TV with a bunch of Japanese channels and Netflix, which we didn't use as we brought our own Chromecast. Apart from a couple of hooks and hangers no storage solution whatsoever, so you kind of have to live out of the suitcase. Which is odd, because there is definitely room for adequate furniture. All in all, totally recommended. We'd...
