Their strawberry shortcake mochi is stunning, 320 JPY each. It’s a fluffy sponge layered with light whipped cream, ripe strawberry chunks, all wrapped within a thin, chewy, soft layer of mochi. They had 3 left when we swung by at 1:40pm on a Monday. By 1:45, they had 1 left (I bought another because the first was so good). By 1:50, they were all gone because a family came by and bought the last one (and loved it). The family also got the regular strawberry shortcake, then said the mochi was better.

They don’t look to take card, though they accept Line and PayPay. They have a few stools to eat out in front. The shop is run by a sweet couple who sells other sweets, but come here for the strawberry...

OBSESSED with everything from here! It’s delicious, freshly self made and more than AFFORDABLE! We stayed in Osaka 5 days and went to the shop 4 times 😂. Today was our last day in Osaka, since we headed back to Tokyo this morning at 7, we had to buy and eat there one last time and bought it the night before. Now, arrived in our hotel and waiting for our check in, we are eating our strawberry shortcake and mochi wrapped shortcake and let me tell you, even after one night in the fridge, a very rough way from Osaka to Tokyo station to our hotel, it’s still AMAZING!! I’m already missing the shop and really hope that it’s still going to be there the next time...

Came by and had a strawberry cake mochi after seeing the shop featured on youtube. It was delicious. The mochi tasted very fresh and the cake was nice and moist, perfectly complimenting the strawberries and cream. It had the perfect amount of sweetness.

The shop owner was super nice even though we only ordered 1 thing. She made a sitting area for us to eat in front of a fan and gave us cups of cold water when she saw us reach for a bottle of...
