Delicious Ramen in a really tiny ramen shop. Shop is open really late so you can have your late night ramen snack fulfilled even at 3 in the morning. It’s a cash only place typical of most small Japanese restaurants, so be prepared with cash and the know how on how to place an order using their vending machine. Not rocket science but if you’re not accustomed to it, might be a bit confusing and make you feel awkward. Don’t worry, the guy will be more than happy to assist you.
Speaking of guy, it’s a one man shop. He preps, cooks, serves, and cleans everything. So be patient. He still serves and takes care of everything really quickly though, so nothing to worry about.
Ramen is really good and very hearty, especially during a late night meal. No skimping on anything and you can even ask for more noodle if you have leftover broth and meat! Broth, as many here have mentioned, is on the thicker side and is very rich. It’s not the watery kind of broth, but the thick saucy broth. Might not be what many are used to, but I loved it! It coats the noodle nicely as you slurp it in. Oh and did I mention that it’s really cheap? A bowl is less than $7!
The karaage (fried chicken) is really cheap and delicious too. Only 3 pieces but big pieces, perfect for individual orders but also good enough to share with someone else.
As mentioned, the shop is very tiny, with only about 8-9 sits available around the counter. Come by at the wrong time, and you’ll have to wait for about 10 minutes or so for one or two seats to be available. If you’re lucky and come at a good time, the shop might be mostly empty with seats...

Being the foreigner in Japan gets me nervous whenever it comes to ordering, but the shop takes order through a vending machine. With the top 2 selection of ramen at 1,000 yen or 1,050yen (as of Sep 2023).
Not knowing what ramen noodle is originally given, but it is important to note that the noodle is slightly on the thicker end, that gives off a nice chew to its texture.
The soup was delectable, a thick broth for the Tsukemon (?) for which the noodle soaks the essence up quickly that enhances a flavourful chew.
The chashu was meaty, but I found it on the thinner spectrum of a meat slice. Would have been greater if it was slightly thicker, but that can also increase the cost of it.
Runny yolk egg was very well flavored, no complaints about that.
Bamboo shoots were very well marinated and gave off a very nice crunch, especially even after drowning it on the thicken broth.
Worth to mention was the crispy garlic condiments at the side. I probably did it wrongly, but I dipped my broth-y noodle into a plate of crispy garlic. It didn't just enhances the flavor, but the texture woth a little crunch with the bite.
All in all, a visit is worth checking out if you're around the area. Gives off a full japanese ramen experience, with great food made right in...
Read moreSmall late night ramen shop. Cash only via vending machine. Limited bar seating so expect a little wait. We were there at 10pm was able to get a seat after 20 mins. Impressive to see a one man show, who did all the cooking, service, and cleaning. A lot of respect for the guy.
Food wise, it’s a very rich thick ramen. Don’t expect a slurpy soup broth. It’s more like a sauce than broth. It was decent but way too rich for my taste. Maybe better if you’ve had a few drinks.
Prices are great. 750 yen for a normal bowl of ramen, 1000 for the special.
The place is very small and pretty hot and steamy especially for a summer night. We had to ask if we could leave the front door open for air.
Overall would come back if it’s nearby and I’ve had a few drinks, maybe on a colder night. Next time I’ll try the tsukemen which looked better...
