FamilyMart — Local services in Tokyo

This Family Mart store has one of the most convenient way-in spaces I’ve seen so far.m, and the staff here does a nice enough job of keeping it clean and tidy.

Though the eat-in space is quite small, it features free-to-use electrical outlets for each seat. Very convenient if you need a quick charge or want to do some work on your notebook PC, without spending 500+ yen for an obligatory coffee.

Though the service and attitudes of the staff here leave much to be desired, the offerings are above average.

And, unlike most convenience stores in Tokyo—even most Family Mart stores—this store actually discounts many fresh food items, including most bento 🍱 🍱 and desserts 🍨🍮, as they approach their expiry dates.

I wish more stores did this. Until they start, I’ll keep coming back here even though it’s a little farther away.

Great Convenience store, we love the steamed buns, the sandwiches, pastas, hot fast food and many more, much cheaper too! They got everything covered, they give you cutlery and wet wipes for the fast foods and even the noodle bowls are catered for with hot water available. Can get a pretty good coffee for just over ¥100. Good selection of standard groceries. ...
