Food 3 Atmosphere 3 Service 4
The restaurant is in a basement and the tables are in rooms that are in a long, dark back alley looking hallways. Oddly there is a another man’s sushi counter restaurant in the middle of it. I almost tripped walking into one of the rooms because the floor was raised and there was no warning by the staff or signs. The seating room has some fancy decor that can make the space feel quite cozy, but the state of some of the chairs and tables reminds you of the dreary hallway you just walked to get here.
Service was nice enough, you could tell the waiter was doing his best and was smiley.
Pizza was not bad. Far from the worst I’ve ever had but it’s not something I’m itching to come back for. The crust was floppy, came a little burnt on the bottom and was not fully cut. A knife was not included in the cutlery set so when I asked for one, the staff used his hands to look through our cutlery basket to make sure there wasn’t one in there already and almost touched the eating ends (which would surely set off a germophobe).
My partner got the Gorgonzola gnocci (rated a 4/5) and the pesto linguini (rated 3/5).
Prices are fairly reasonable for what this is! So all in all, come here if you want a quick bite and you have a craving for pasta and pizza but that’s about it. But otherwise, there’s probably better...
Read moreThis place is not good. We ordered a diavola and a pepperoni pizza…both small. The diavola came with a spice rating from 3 to 6. My wife got the 3. It was the hottest thing she’d ever eaten in her life. We’ve had very spicy food in Thailand…habaneros in Mexico. We’re no stranger to spice. But this was bad. Not to mention completely burnt on the bottom. My pepperoni was 100% floppy. Picked one piece up and everything slid off the top. I ordered a pineapple and Campari. It was like straight Campari. The pictures on the sign in front made us curious because it looked good. It was NOT good. And the atmosphere….i won’t even get started on this. It’s like where the mafia goes in the back rooms of a restaurant….but like, the Morel 6 Mafia version. This was horrible. We couldn’t get out fast enough. The service was good though. That’s about the only thing that was good. Skip this place. Don’t go here. Also, for 4,000 yen….2 small pizzas (like maybe 5”) and 2 drinks. You’ve...
Read moreThe pizza was ok, they really tried for the authentic italian and missed the mark, the gnocchi gorgonzola tasted like a festering sweaty gym bag after back to back training sessions on a hot day, and the service was absolutely abhorrent. 2 of our 4 items came out within a half hour, I got to watch my family eat while people who came in after us were being served their meals. During the wait, I was priveleged to hear ear piercing screeching from the waitresses, I wear hearing aids and had to take them out. I sat there for another 30 minutes until my pizza came out, then another 15 or so minutes after that the gnocchis came out. It takes 3 minutes to boil gnocchis, 30 seconds to strain them, 30 seconds to throw cheese in, not an hour and 15 minutes. The bill did not reflect the prices on the menu. There are much better spots nearby, just avoid it, save your sanity and a trip to your...
