HMV record shop Shinjuku — Local services in Tokyo

I bought a bunch of used tapes, including "LKJ In Dub" and "Raw Like Sushi".

The cool dude at the checkout let me check each tape individually (albeit with my own tape player - they don't have one!) to ensure they were in good condition.

They were all in good condition, by the way.

I bought some CDs too.

The store itself is very spacious. You will find used and new vinyls. The selection of Japanese rock is one of the best I've seen in Japan For Western music there is large choice however I found the grading of vinyl a bit inaccurate compared to other record stores in Japan Most of records described as Ex were more of less VG+ but very expensively priced as if they were NM. So a bit disappointing in comparison...

I was in Japan and buying used records (Japanese pressings) at 4 different record stores and when I got home they all sounded great except the several (expensive) ones I got from this place. They all looked good, but were worn out to the point of being unlistenable. I gave two stars because in all fairness, they do have listening stations, so I could have listened for myself, but was in a hurry...
