Kingdom Note — Local services in Tokyo

I really enjoyed this store! While they were busy, I simply looked around and once a sales associate was available they were more than happy to help me. I let the associate know my price range and asked for recommendations. He brought over a few options for me to try, and he even observed my writing/how I held the pen to better recommend a pen for me. I’m left handed, so it’s usually quite difficult to find a fountain pen that has a nice feel to it, without it having a larger nib size. Thankfully, his recommendations were all wonderful and I took home a beautiful pen.

Beyond the amazing options in-store, The associate was super helpful despite the language barrier. He used a translator on a laptop, as I used mine on my phone, and I felt very reassured by his efforts to help me. He truly provided great service and I enjoyed shopping here much more than I thought I would!

It is a higher-end store, and as I was dressed casually I was worried I would be looked down upon, but it was quite the opposite. They treated me kindly and just as any other customer, and I’m so thankful for that. I really recommend visiting, whether you are living here or on...

Should be a first stop for fountain pen enthusiast when arriving in Tokyo. Come here to check out their large range of 2nd hand pens prior to dropping some cash on some brand new luxuries. Staff was great, even though with limited english. Google translate did most of the work for me here. Tested 6 pens and ended up with something I never thought I would have bought. Prices can sometimes be on the higher side. If you are not adventurous with auctions in Japan, then this is not a bad spot to get your grails for a good price. Very friendly staff. The staff person was very polite and patient with me. I was planning on investing in a Pelikan M1000 or a Sailor King of Pens - bought the king of pens because it is SMOOOOOTH!!! I now have a 1911, a pro gear, and a king of pens - all in 21K bold!!
