Cash only! A friend who lives nearby in Tokyo had recommended this place for our first night dinner in Tokyo . My husband and I loved it. Noodles are al dente. Only locals were in here, that’s always a good sign if you are trying to stay away from tourist spots. The lady staff member showed how to order. She was communicating with us in gestures. Put 1000 yen and select the button. Lady provides change for bigger bills as machine doesn’t take bigger bills. There are 7 elevens near by if you need to get yen. We just had dinner here and the experience was terrible. When we were ordering through the machine and inserting money into the cash slot, a female staff came over and told us that the machine accepts only old version of cash. She took our new version of notes (4 pieces of bank notes, 1000 yen each), walked to the counter, put our money into a cash box and gave only 3 old-version banknotes to us. We said to her it should be 4 notes and her first reaction was not to check the number of new-version banknote in here cash box, but to doubt we were lying.
