It’s my first time in Japan and I did not know that we could not try the display shoes on, it was my fault on this part that I did not do enough research to know this. I was scolded by the staff and I’ve said sorry and apologized to her multiple times. She quickly took away the display shoe on my hand and put it back onto the shelf without asking if I want to try on, and proceeded to ignore me completely. Not sure if she did it purposely but she walked past me at least 5 times and I really tried to grab her attention to ask her if I could try on the piece I’ve gotten off the display shelf, but she completely ignored me. I really liked and loved the shoe I took and really wanted to purchase it as long as there’s my size but I couldn’t purchase them because the staff didn’t want to entertain me at all. I’ve never felt so sad shopping before.
Once again, I’m really sorry. But I am sure I did not deserve the treatment.
I walked out of the store feeling apologetic. And I still am. Again to the store/store owner/staff, I’m sorry I did not know this...

My husband and I visited the store on June 14, 2025, and purchased two pairs of trainers and two pairs of invisible socks, paying ¥63,000 in cash. After returning to the UK, we reviewed the receipt and realized the total should have been only ¥33,600 — meaning we were overcharged by nearly double.
At the time, we were unfamiliar with the currency and trusted the staff assisting us. I also provided my passport for the tax refund, so it was clear we were visiting from overseas.
I contacted Onitsuka Tiger customer service about the issue, but they told me I have to contact the store directly — which is not easy now that we’re back in the UK.
For a well-known global brand, I expected better service and accountability. This experience has left us extremely disappointed and we’re still waiting for a proper resolution.
I do not recommend this store to international visitors. Double check your receipt carefully...
Read moreI went to this shop yesterday, and it was the most unpleasant shopping experience during my stay in Japan.
Unequal Treatment: From the moment I entered the store, the associate’s attitude toward me was clearly different from her attitude toward Japanese customers. She did not assist me with trying on shoes, nor did she use even basic polite expressions; I had to handle everything on my own. Impatience and Disrespect: When I tried on several pairs while deciding on the color, she showed obvious impatience and repeatedly muttered complaints in Japanese. When I asked her in English if there was any issue, she denied it verbally, yet continued to complain in Japanese. Refusal to Assist: After I decided to purchase the shoes, I requested a new pair instead of the display pair (which had a visible stain). She became extremely impatient, rolled her eyes, and when I asked how to clean the shoes during checkout, she refused to answer and instead directed me to...
