It's a convenient "landing place" in the city if you are coming from Narita. It takes abt 81mins and ¥1030. Lotsa budget accoms, tons of food options. Very unpretentious area with lotsa old neighbourhoods to explore. Ueno Park warrants a morning walk and a visit to the museums with world-class...

The elevator/lift facilities are available but not easy to get. Sometimes you need to walk further to transfer to different elevator/lift only to move from ONE floor. There are some restaurants and coffee shops. But the station is quite complete and has many route options for local trains...
