i’ve never had such an upscale barbershop experience like the one here at wolfman. this was my first haircut in Japan, and what can i say!? it was AMAZING! i booked the regular haircut for May 2 at 11am. i had a picture of the haircut i wanted and showed it to the barber, the barbers know barbershop vocabulary in english so it’s easy to communicate with them so you get the style you want, the barber who cut my hair is TALENTED! the way he managed those scissors is out of this world, he used a razor to begin the fade but he used the scissors to cut the upper part of the sides of my hair and let me tell you 😭🤩 i was blown away by how precise and talented the barber was. he also trimmed the top part of my hair and he did an amazing job, later on he switched to another barber who would wash off my scalp, which was accompanied with a scalp massage 💆♂️ he was very talented at that too! he did his thing, i was too relaxed to even pay attention to everything else.
at the end, the barber styled my hair. most barbers i’ve been to don’t know how to style my hair because i’ve got cowlicks in weird areas of my scalp but the barbers had me looking good! he styled my hair without an issue! i was very pleased and very happy! it’s fair to say i have found my go to barbershop anytime i’m in Japan, i will definitely be coming back! 10000/10
i didn’t get the name of the barber who washed my scalp but he was wearing a nice pair of black acetate glasses 🤓 and i believe the name of the gentleman who cut my hair is Kounosuke Sugibayasi, you...
Read moreSo, I'm a novice to live in Tokyo, one thing that quite hard for me is to find a good barbershop in this big city. well actually is not that hard, but i really need one barbershop that understand and have a skill to cut hair, so after a 4 month i live in here and my hair is getting messed up, i search a good barbershop on the internet, aaaaand i stumbled upon this barbershop.
Is not a typical barbershop that you can find in Tokyo, first that catch my eyes is the interior and exterior of the barbershop itself, it have an atmosphere of really old American barbershop style, very vintage. They even play an old jazz music as an ambient sound, and it's so relaxing.
Second is the barber, the Barber that cut my hair is really skillful and fast. But most of all is the attention to a detail is top notch. I bet every barber in this shop is skillful.
So definitely i'll going back here if i need a cut. This barbershop service is worth every yen you have inside your pocket, i try not to exaggerate my words, but my experience prove that.
So every time you come to Tokyo, and need a haircut, this barbershop is my first...
Read moreI returned after covid and was immediately reminded why I have my grooming needs taken care of by Wolfman. I had forgotten of how pleasant the entire Wolfman experience is, from the careful attention to my requests, the shampoo, the artistic cut, the scalp and shoulder massage to the finale of presenting the finished work. I will most definitely return as the entire Wolfman staff, particularly the owner, rejuvenated my initial impression of quality service.
Update, Oct 24, 2018: Wolfman Barber Shop is the real deal. Excellent service, superb haircut and as always, the staff were delightful.
I am EXTREMELY pleased with the haircut I received yesterday from the good people of Wolfman Barber Shop. The shop is beautifully appointed with lots of wood accents, classic barber chairs and superb, friendly, welcoming staff. My Japanese is quite limited, yet they made me feel at home. The haircut was exactly as I wanted, with a bit of the Wolfman flair. I highly recommend Wolfman Barber shop and intend to get "the works", shampoo, cut and shave upon...
