The night market here is roughly divided into these sections: 1. Dry goods - Dried anchovies (ikan bilis), deep-fried fish balls, etc. This section opens from morning to night. 2. Fruits and vegetables - mangoes, mangosteen, durians, etc. depending on season 3. Meat - mainly chicken 4. Seafood - raw squids, fishes, shell fishes, etc. 5. Cooked food - snacks, barbecued chicken wings, cooked-to-order seafood, cooked-to-order fried rice or fried noodles. - - - The floor is uneven and wet (particularly at the raw seafood section), so be careful. Prices are not fixed and final. You can try to negotiate the price. Be aware that the cooked-to-order seafood prices (by weight) can be inflated to "tourist prices" (not cheap by local standard). The cooked food section is often smoky (from the BBQ and cooking). There are a few smaller stalls closer to the sea that sells local snacks. Prices are generally low - example, RM2 for 3 pieces of snack. As the market can get quite crowded, keep young children close and secure your bags close to / in front of you. There are touters here. Don't feel pressured to buy anything. Feel free to walk around to compare products and prices. - - - Verdict: If you are a tourist, I recommend you to walk around the market to experience the local market experience. - - - There is another night market worth exploring at Jalan Segama (about 10-15 minutes walking distance). Search for "Durian Night Market". Durians, fruits, snacks and cooked food are available there.

Place for tourists to buy things. Dried anchovies, dried prawns, dried cuttle fish, etc. Make sure to go around & compare prices. Always bargain to get the price down to at least 30%. Make sure to check the weighing process.

Should be renamed to Pasar Buah Mangga instead of Buah-buahan because they sell more Mango than other fruits. Need to find kerepek or kuih cincin? This is the place and if you buy in bulk (borong), they will pack in a box with creatively made handle for easy to carry and free gift. I recommend to shop at Lot...
