Starbucks Warisan Square, Kota Kinabalu — Restaurant in Borneo

I stayed in Kota Kinabalu for two months to focus on my internet-based work. The coworking spaces in KK weren't a valid option for me, so I decided to find best cafes, where I could focus.

This Starbucks became one of my main spots. Every morning I was coming here for a cup of black tea and occasionally for a unique blend of coffee.

Besides a convenient location and plenty of chair choices (armchair, regular chair, two types of a high chair) you can see that the staff is doing their best to take care of the guests.

Over time most of the staff members knew my name, my drink preferences and my favourite tables. What was important, their efforts felt genuine, and their smiles were honest.

While the Wi-Fi internet speed cap for every user should be raised to at least 1 Mbps, the staff team was first class. I am very well pleased by the hard work of Zila, Zamree, Well among others.

If you are looking for a cozy and friendly place to enjoy a cup of coffee, you might want to visit this Starbucks outlet in Kota Kinabalu. It is my personal favourite because of the great ambiance and the warm and welcoming staff. They are very efficient and attentive to your needs. You will also get a chance to experience some Korean culture, as this place is popular among Korean tourists and locals. Don't be surprised if you hear someone knocking on the door when you are using the toilet. It is their way of asking if the toilet is occupied or empty. Just knock back to let them know that you are inside.

We were greeted when we came in. Plenty of seats were available but since there was less traffic we decided to sit at the counter area.

It got busy afterwards and we got to see the barista and other staffs work non-stop. It was a good 2 hrs seeing them make each beverage as flawless as possible.
