The Laksa Hor Fun was a delightful dish with well-balanced flavors and an abundance of ingredients. The broth had a deep, flavorful richness that coated the silky smooth hor fun noodles beautifully. Every spoonful was packed with intense flavors, thanks to the carefully selected ingredients. The pork skin was soft and absorbed the broth well, adding a nice gelatinous texture. The small cockles were present, though they didn’t taste particularly impressive. However, the prawn dumplings were fresh and bouncy, a great addition to the dish.
The true star, though, was the chili paste. It elevated the dish to another level, adding a perfect amount of heat and depth that enhanced the already rich broth. The balance between spiciness and savoriness was spot on.
I also ordered a side of chicken. It was quite decent—tender, juicy, and cooked well. Not particularly outstanding, but definitely acceptable.
The only downside was the service. It was below expectations, which aligns with what many others have mentioned. A bit more attentiveness and warmth from the staff would have made the experience really better.
Overall, the food was great, but the service could use some improvement. Would I return? Maybe—for the...
Read moreFirst of all, paying RM20 for 1 plate of inedible (NOT DELICIOUS AT ALL) char siew is an absolute disappointment. It doesn't taste like char siew at all. Chicken rice is so-so, although their signature seems to be chicken rice. However, I have to admit that their chili garlic paste, and soup are nice.
Secondly, I don't like the 2 aunty waitresses. Damn grumpy and rude. One of them showed up with an annoyed face and asked me why do I need a plastic bag when I asked for one. Come on la. I asked for plastic means to tapao la! FYI, the plastic is to tapao for the stray cats. Gave all 4 strays and only 1 (pregnant cat) ate. You can imagine how bad it tastes! Another aunty is worst! When customer has made a payment, just say thank you. But no!! She didn't!! Why are you women so rude? Is it because business is too good that's why acting like that??
Conclusion, I am NEVER, EVER going to repeat my visit to that restaurant again! Lousy services! And if anyone of you whom are curious to visit, I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMENDED this eatery! Save your money and emotions by eating elsewhere. Even food by the roadside stalls...
Read moreOrdered "kai see hor fun" or kuey teow, shredded chicken soup, with an additional deboned drumstick. Also a great cooling drink of barley and pumpkin iced. The mains was well prepared but could do with more fried and spring onions. Total damage was 18rm, which is reasonable. Recommended for thoes who like comfort food Update 10/8/24,,drop in at 4.30pm. Walked in and male supervisor/captain curtly told me I have to wait. This is before I even opened my mouth. Sat in the aircon area n waited. After 20mins,"his highness" shuffled over with a pad. Told him I wanted white chicken, siew yoke pork with separate seasoning on a separate small plate. Asked him the price of the food. Instead of replying he barked "drink?". Told him barley pumpkin ice. Asked for food price again. "12". Reason is bcos I wanted a 2nd set tapowed for my son. Ironical that on reading reviews I am not the only customer facing this RUDE behaviour. Perhaps they think its beneath them to serve customers and we are obliged to give them biz. Well I leave it to the readers whether you feel obligated to...
