Ekuveni Cricket Ground — Local services in Malé

Maafannu stadium ground, yet there is no real stadium on the ground. But it has been sliced like a cake for different purpose. Ekuveni cricket ground is such a piece of land, which was established as a 400m track field for athletics. The One&Only 400m track in Male' became a victim of over population and is again used for different purposes. Crowds of different ages have taken over the track from the athletes. Though the ground size is not fit for a cricket ground, the elite force has taken over the ground from everyone else and controls it like private property. Now the condition of the running track is very poor as it is not been maintained. The one-man show athletics association is very slow in progress! Athletics Association of Maldives has got a land to lay a 400m track at Hulhumale. Now a synthetic track has been laid on the ground but there is no boundry wall and no gate to enter there.
