Three years ago, for my 50th, we met Mr. Cerroblanco and asked if he could make a special bracelet for me. He said he'd design something special and personally sign it. 3 days later, we picked up my "silver" bracelet with "semi precious stones". From the look, it looked legitimate. We paid him $325.00 US. When we returned home, I kept looking for the 925 stamp, indicating real silver. Nothing. I had it appraised by 3 seperate jewelers. Sadly, the bracelet is not silver. Update: over a course of a few days in PV leather on a bracelet stretched out a little and it was sliding on my husbands wrist too much, so we went back to Pepe to fix it, he added a silver buckle to it and shortened the leather So it doesn’t slide........ and the bracelet turned out even more beautiful than before. It is hard to imagine how that’s possible,,,,, but I guess Pepe makes things better and better...

Sadly I go there to look at the really wonderful pieces that Pepe has created. Much like the child at FAO Shwartz who is told it is a museum for toys, I tell myself it is a museum of beautiful wearable objects. I like that the pieces appear to be created from locally sourced materials. That means that the money is staying in the community. Cleaver design mixed with true craftsmanship = a great collection.
