There is a saying in common parlance that your first is always the most special. When it came to Paragliding, Sunrise Paragliding made sure my experience turned truly remarkable. Let's begin with the process of booking the flight. I had already researched and combed through the footages of various vloggers who had successfully tasted their first flight experience in Pokhara. The list gravitated towards Sunrise & team as they are the pioneers of Paragliding in Nepal. Made a call late in the evening and paid a visit to their office half an hour later. Nikesh, an adorable lad, assured us of our safety and booked us for the next day. It is typical to have some butterflies in your stomach before the first flight. Luckily, I had the privilege of flying with Trisha who happens to be the first female paraglider of Nepal. Her calm demeanor has a very re-assuring effect on the flyers. I was no different. Flew with her as if I was flying with a friend. I asked if she could take me higher and she gladly agreed. She even extended my flight duration to make my adventure more memorable. Up high in the air, flying among the birds, we shared a wonderful chat. Her intense passion for paragliding was clearly evident from her talks and the aerial acrobatics she performed which took me to a new high (pun intended). She clicked some sublime photos and videos of our flight together which she shared once we landed comfortably on the ground. In the nutshell, I would sincerely like to thank Trisha, Nikesh & the team of Sunrise for making my first rendezvous with the sky so immortal. Truly serendipitous. 👍👍

Read moreWhat an incredible experience from start to finish! Sunrise Paragliding goes above and beyond to deliver a truly exceptional and memorable adventure. From the moment I arrived, their professionalism and genuine care were evident.
Having had a previous injury during a landing, I was quite anxious about trying paragliding again. Rajesh, the owner, was incredibly attentive and reassuring. He took the time to talk me through the entire process, stayed calm, and even adjusted the landing technique so I could land safely without needing to put my feet down. His expertise and patience made all the difference, allowing me to fully enjoy the experience without fear.
What stood out to me was their dedication to safety. While I watched other companies taking off in pure clouds, the Sunrise team patiently waited for the perfect conditions to ensure the best visibility and safest flight. It’s clear that they aren’t just in it for the money; they are a close-knit community who are truly passionate about what they do. They prioritize giving each person the best possible experience tailored to their needs, with full attention to safety.
Beyond the thrill of being in the air, everything from the pick-up, take-off, and landing to being dropped back at the hotel was seamless and well-coordinated. They even included photos and videos, capturing amazing memories—all included in the price.
Sunrise Paragliding is a top-quality outfit, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. For anyone considering paragliding, make sure to book directly with them, not through an agent, to ensure you get this unforgettable experience. I can’t wait to fly...
Read moreterrible customer experience. I was quoted a certain price for paragliding, but when I returned few days later to take advantage of the offer, it was long gone. exactly same pretentious guy, with huge boredom written on his face, told me he had no idea who quoted me such price (well, he did). it was a weekend after Holi, with more tourists than usual, so I guess he didn't care at all about single new enquiry. he continued to discourage me of using their services by saying that, of course, I can go for cheaper company, but everyone can become a paraglider now, as it's easier than being a taxi driver, and their company is the only one with clear safety record, so basically if I don't want any accident it's better to pay their 2,5x higher price. all that was said with same boredom on the guy's face with a bit of taunt, as if why he has to explain such basic stuff to another stupid tourist. it's been a long time since I encountered such anti-client attitude, trying to play with customer's fear, instead of encourage him to buy the service. I guess that's just another company being sick with Lonely Planet syndrome, now that they've been included in the book. now they don't have to do anything, they rule the town. if you think about using their service, think twice. you can get same value flight for 3500 NPR, instead of 8500 NPR in many places next door, like Open Sky. just make sure the company is authorized by NAA (Nepal Airsports Association) and it...
