The Henri Willig Cheese shop and Museum is situated right next to the Flower Market and shows how the cheese is made, and downstairs you can find the cheese shop.
The cheese shop in the museum offer tasters of dozens of different cheeses. Honestly the some of the best cheese I've ever tried! And the most interesting as well. Some unique cheeses that caught my attention are lavender goat cheese, coconut, orange zest, rosemary thyme, Jersey truffle, green pesto and red chilli peppers.
There is a wide range of cheese wheels you can purchase at the stores. Personally, I found it very difficult to pick only one wheel of cheese.
There are also lots of other cheese shops on the same road selling the same brand of cheese. If you like cheese, this will likely be one of your favourite activities tasting...
Read more[POR] Se adoram queijo é está a loja onde devem ir.
[ENG] If you love cheese, this is the store to go to. If you're a fan of wallets, don't go in 😅 I went into this store 3 times in the 4 days I was in Amsterdam. The entrance to a sort of cellar is iconic, and inside you can try practically every flavor/type of cheese! From the most familiar to the strangest! Beer-flavored cheese? I'll take it! I can't reveal more flavors because, just as I was surprised, I'd like you to have that experience too. Prices start at €11 for 350g. There are cheeses for €18, and there are packs of 5, 6, 9, or 12 cheeses, which are cheaper than buying them individually. The downside is that you can't choose the flavors. I'd say one suggestion for improvement would be to have the option of buying a pack but still be able to choose the cheeses. There are also gift sets that include utensils, jams, sausages, cutting boards, etc.! It's an excellent store! If I return to Amsterdam, I will definitely return to this store!...
