Service at the start was quite good and the place/decoration itself was great. But 2 things actually ruined the experience. First the volume of the microphone was very very low. We had to scream to be able to hear ourselves in the speakers. And secondly and mostly we had quite a bad customer experience from one of the employees. After having ordered a substantial bunch of drinks and a session of a karaoke we moved to a table which was empty. The thing is that it was 20h and the table had a paper saying that it was booked for someone at 20h30. At 20h10 a waitress made sure we were aware of that which was nice.
However, about 20h18 another waiter came by to warn us about the same thing. We said we were aware and asked about any other place. He didn't put any effort on helping us and simply dismissed us. After we pointed out to an empty table where a kind of box was lying over its top, the waiter quite offensively said something like "that's the table the Dj will play, this is kinda obvious right?". Not in a friendly or joyfull manner, but really in a arrogant way. I reacted by going "well we still have roughly 10min..". To what we replied, "I need to clean this first". 10min to clean an already clean table? Really?
In short, it was enough to have one really bad service to ruin a day. Unfortunately I don't recall the name of the person as I didn't bother asking, but they should pay more attention to the quality of their staff. After being a customer for a few times this is the last time I come back here.
edit The original feedback was from 4 years ago. But recently after reading the feedback from the place (which likely will disappear after this edition) it became even more frustrating to see how patronizing the place is with customers that have been poorly treated with arrogance from some of the staff. This reassures the perception that you should not expect good treatment when management itself reacts in such a condescending way. Long story short, if you are one of those guests that things go well, you'll have a nice time, but in case they mess up, don't expect the house to acknowledge/accept the issue and do something about it. Why should...

Be careful when making reservations because although you might believe you are booking for a saturday night, their system logs it as the night before. i.e. when you are under a 'saturDAY' tab and given the availble slot options in chronological order ( 15:00-16:00 ; 23:15-00:15 ; 00:30-2:00
Read moreFinally a karaoke bar with private rooms in NL! First time I visited here. Very suitable interior, love the signs and lights. Great atmosphere. We rented the Asakusa room (for 8 person max). Ooh it had airconditioning btw! Super standard in Japan/Korea of course but here in Netherlands usually not. They have a wide variety of drinks. Didn't try any snacks, maybe next time. I like the variation of settings of the songs, e.g. with or without background or main vocals. Changing pitch and speed etc was a bit too much imo but it was fun to goof around with xD staff was friendly too, explained clearly how everything worked. The huge disappointment, which made it lose one star, is that it is ironically called something with Tokyo, has a lotof Japanese signs and text, but zero Japanese songs. Or any Asian songs for that matter. I was really expecting to be able to sing Chinese, Korean and Japanese songs. Or at least anime songs. The only available was Gangnam Style but didn't try that one so I don't even know if it is romanized or just in Hangul. I really hope they will include Japanese and Korean lyrics so I can practice reading. I was more disappointed to find out they did have a lot Dutch songs though x'D They did mention they will add Asian songs later and they unlocked the tablet so we could use YouTube, but that messed up with our current playlist (the karaoke app can't be used simultaniously) so it was kinda useless the end. I do hope next time they will have at least Japanese songs...
