Café | Brasserie Internationaal Theater Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

After a long walk through the Vondelpark from one end to the other, we exited and found our way to the Leidseplein Road and to the grand looking building where we found a place to have lunch. The food was really good. The service was quick and the staff as friendly as almost all Dutch. We had some coffee afterwards and just took in the people walking by. Amsterdam is a great cafe sitting people watching city. Give this place a try and them make your way to the Dam Square from there. Don't forget to go through the flower market as well. ...

Nice atmosphere of the building but the food is grossly overpriced and limited. Impossible to order from the 'lunch' menu even after an hour past the time. We asked specifically if they had air conditioning before going and they assured us but of course they dont have it. Very dissappointing. The staff is also very rude: my friend had fish bitterbollen and there was a huge bone inside. When we pointed it to the waiter his reply was: luckily you didnt die! And of course we paid the full price for everything. The Dutch 'service'...

My first experience at the Stanislavski was great. The service was decent (it was very slow, unpersonal and unprofessional), but it was massive busy. Therefore we ignored the service factor. The atmosphere however was great. Food was excellent and the house wines even paired lovely with the main course.
