Went this morning expecting a great brunch experience based on the other reviews however I was very disappointed. Table was sticky and dirty, cutlery was dirty (bits of food still stuck to it), glasses were sticky and dirty, floor had bits of food on it. We certainly hadn't come after a rush or anything so that wouldn't explain the dirtiness. Unfortunately the experience went downhill from there. The food was mediocre and 8 euros seems pricey for one single pancake. It advertised that "fresh strawberries" would come on the pancake yet they were evidently fresh from the freezer.
The manager was the only worker who seemed happy to be there and to help us. That was the only good thing about our experience.
We waited for someone to come by so we could ask for the check, and they told us we had to go to the counter. That is fine, but once we got there (with that person knowing full well we needed to pay), they ignored us for five minutes so we just stood there waiting to pay our bill for a mediocre meal. To top it all off, they only take cash! No cards in this day and age. Based on other reviews, this place has been open for a long time, which makes it seem like it should be able to have a credit card machine like every other shop does. But it doesn't.

Read moreI came to this pancake house around 5pm. It was not busy around that time only me and another group of 2 friends. I ordered mini pancakes (poffertjes) with strawberries. A nice little Asian lady was the chef today. The poffertjes were amazing! Little bit crunchy on the outside and soft & creamy on the inside. And the piece of butter with strawberries just tight the dish totally together. When I finished the poffertjes some friends of the restaurant came in and they were having fun with the personnel. We wanted to order another pancake with bacon and apple but unfortunately the personnel were so busy with their friends. No matter how long we were trying to get their attention they did not see us. Eventually I stood up, walked over to them and asked if i could order. They took my order and continued with their fun. The food was very nice but personnel are in general very distracted. Except the chef. She was eventually doing waiters work as well. And their friends are talking really loud. I know their restaurant has an informal atmosphere but this was just very disturbing. The pancake with bacon and apple was nice as...
Read moreI would give 0 stars if I could. Disclaimer: I cannot talk about the food just about the miserable service. So: We wanted to get some pannekoke for breakfast and searched in Google and thought that a 4.2 rating is sufficient for a place to eat there. Well we went there.. My girlfriend asked if she could get a glass of tap water. To serve tap water in Europe is not so common but at least you can ask right? Well the guy who seemed to be the owner complained about that and told her she couldn’t get it. He tried to say something about that he can not effort that and so on. Ok I mean you can understand that but it was the way and the tone he said it. Completely rude so that we did not felt welcome. He could just have said that we only could have tap water if we would have ordered something. Well that did not happen because we left, even though he brought us the ordered tap water (and complained again).
If you just think about it: we would have eaten for like 20-30€.. but a tap water is too much. Not much of a business sense there. Not recommended for tourist that want to have a nice...
